Finally finished my pumpkin column. I love decorating for holidays, but I’m concerned that Gaston will play with (read: destroy) anything I put up. He’s gotten big enough that he can jump onto pretty much anything now.

Leaving Eagle Lake after a 20-mile bike ride, I saw this cool cloud and watched it start to spark with lightning. Watch til the end cuz I captured a good bolt. Also, I pulled off to the side of the road to shoot video; I wasn’t driving.

Well, I was just finishing the dishes about half hour ago when the lights went out. Full darkness. Great. I reported the outage to the power company. At least I have a big battery charger so I plugged a fan into it. Will I get to sleep??

I have a wee bit of a problem this morning. The truly odd thing is I dreamed about a tree falling over. No storm last night, so it wasn’t wind or lightning. It sure did crack with some force though.

How did his fat orange ass fit inside a catering cart ? And, gosh, hiding that way sounds like something a coward would do. 😃 And last, there is no way in hell I would ever eat anything that came off that cart. There is not enough bleach in the world to sufficiently clean it. 🤢🤮

Gaston is so cute and calm when he’s asleep…but when he’s awake, he’s the Tasmanian Devil. I was sound asleep, but he bit my hand and woke me up. So, here I am….wide damn awake.

This cat is hilarious! This item arrived today got Gaston. It’s part kitty bed, part toy. The material is supposed to absorb his scent, making it special to him.

I’m in Tyler, Texas, for a terribly sad reason: my dear friend Nancy passed away a few weeks ago. Celebration of life is today. It hasn’t seemed real at all, but it will today. Nancy and I have been friends for 20 years.

This damn root fought valiantly, but I was more determined. I’ve finished with the hole. Now I need to fill in the gaps; the directions say to use sand, but of course I have none. Hum…
