I asked why I should believe. I was told to look at the trees. But nature is evidence of nature, not proof of a creator. Even if nature had a designer, that wouldn't establish the Bible, a resurrection, or eternal life. Beauty isn't evidence for every claim attached to it.

If a god wants us to know the truth, why must we rely on humans who insist we stop asking questions? A claim isn't sacred just because someone calls it divine. #ExBeliever #Atheism #ExistenceOfGod

The universe isn't less extraordinary when you stop believing someone created it. Awe isn't evidence of God. Wonder isn't a divine signature. The beauty of existence doesn't mean the universe was designed for us. We can experience the wonder without inventing the wonder-maker. #atheist

Calling something a mystery doesn't make a contradiction disappear. If a claim defies logic, calling it sacred doesn't exempt it from scrutiny. Belief deserves the same critical examination as any other claim. #Atheist #CriticalThinking #trinity #God

You can appreciate the beauty of the world without believing someone created it for you. You can find ways to feel peace without waiting for a prayer to be answered. And you can find an even more wondrous meaning in a life that comes with no divine guarantees. #Peace #Atheism #Atheist

Children deserve to know the difference between what they're taught to believe and what evidence supports. Science tests claims and changes when discoveries demand it. No belief should receive immunity from the questions we teach children to ask. #ScienceEducation #CriticalThinking #Education

Pride can turn a mistaken belief into a lifelong commitment. Changing our minds isn't weakness. Sometimes it's the bravest thing we can do. We owe ourselves the freedom to follow the evidence, even when it means rebuilding what we thought we knew. #CriticalThinking #Deconstruction #Atheist

Fear can keep us loyal to beliefs we have never felt safe enough to examine. But no idea deserves immunity from scrutiny simply because we were taught them to be sacred. Truth has nothing to fear from honest questions. #Deconstruction #Atheist #ExBeliever #LosingFaith

Imagine growing up in another family, surrounded by another faith. Would you defend its teachings with the same conviction? The beliefs may not be false, but familiarity isn't evidence of truth. What reasons would you have to believe this, if no one had taught you? #Atheist #CriticalThinking

Two families pray. One gets the miracle; the other gets the loss. If recovery proves God answered, what does failure prove? Prayer may comfort, but clinical trials have found no clear healing benefit. Neither family’s faith or love should be measured by who gets to come home. #Atheist

Knowing the expected answer isn’t the same as finding it convincing. When belief means belonging, questioning can feel like betrayal. But fear of disappointing others is not evidence that a belief is true. Sometimes we need to stop and ask whether this is a path we would choose for ourselves.

Every abandoned religion was once somebody’s unquestionable truth. Stories become sacred, tradition becomes authority, and inheritance gets mistaken for evidence. Conviction isn’t evidence. Every god is destined to a shared fate, to outlive its believers only in stories.

A sandwich shouldn’t require a sermon. A beds shouldn’t come with an expectation of conversion. Judge charities by whom they help, how they spend, and whether their books are open. Meet the need, YES! Operate with transparency as real charity's do. Belief has no role in the solutions we need.

Telling someone to have more faith isn’t evidence. Accusing them of pride or a hardened heart isn’t an argument. These tactics turn honest questions into character flaws. If you can defend your claim, present the evidence. Doubt is not an offense.

The church teaches us we're born broken, then sells us the cure. It defines the disease, threatens us with eternal punishment, and claims exclusive authority over salvation. No independent test confirms the diagnosis or cure. If a doctor did this, would we call it medicine or a racket?

Science textbooks are corrected when they're wrong. When the Bible gets something wrong, we're told it reflects the limited understanding of its time. That's an explanation for human authorship, not divine. You can't claim God's authority for the text and blame human limitations for its errors.

A world filled with needless suffering is a strange product of perfect love and unlimited power. Children die in agony, disasters bury families, and animals suffer long before humans exist. If we’re ethically obligated to prevent suffering when we can, why is a supposedly perfect creator exempt?

A God who must establish his right to torment before declaring his love isn't offering love. He's running a protection racket. Love that cannot be refused is a hostage situation dressed as a Sunday sermon. (Romans 9:20-21; Deuteronomy 32:39)

A belief that must be protected by the threat of abandonment is not freely chosen. When questioning doctrine risks family, friendships, and community, belonging becomes conditional on pretending. We cannot force ourselves to believe. Honesty should never cost us the people we love.

You are up to date.
