Clarence Thomas says the 14th Amendment should be read narrowly because it was written for formerly enslaved people. By that logic, the 2nd Amendment was written for muskets, not AR-15s. Funny how that kind of originalism only shows up when it's convenient.

Call me old fashioned but I miss the days when we would all be shocked if a President posted a video of himself flying over protesters and dumping poop on them. I miss the days when a video like that would have been grounds for instant removal from office. I miss accountability.

It's absolutely horrible to hear the news about Charlie Kirk. No human being EVER deserves to be hurt or murdered because of their ideas. Even though we may disagree, no one is beyond reaching, or beyond redemption. Persuade with ideas, not guns and violence. Our heart goes out to his loved ones.

Trump is in a hell of a bind of his own making. If he doesn't pardon convicted child sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, she'll testify before Congress and blow this up, even if she pleads the fifth. If he does pardon Maxwell for sex trafficking, it'll blow up the whole thing anyway.
