Took a bit longer than I was hoping, but finished this piece up in time for Halloween. Myld in the style of a Final Fantasy Black Mage combined with elements of a plague doctor, using his Umbrakinesis bestowed upon him by the MU Fragment. Whilst something lurks in the shadows behind him.

The Game Boy Player only eats up a whopping 4MB of disc space (Literally just the binary and opening.bnr) so 99% of the disc is completely empty. (With some audio mods to mono, Animal Crossing or Crazy Taxi could fit, realistically the SDK libraries the games rely on would need that unused space.

Supper Mario Broth@mariobrothblog.bsky.social

Many games for the GameCube use only a fraction of the storage capacity of the disc. I have analyzed the data to determine what the maximum number of retail Mario games that can fit on a single disc would be, creating the Luigi & Wario + Puzzle + Rhythm Maximum Value Pack.

Nintendo did something similar with Super Mario All-Stars on Wii. The actual game data is only 20MB in size (The ROM, SNES VC Emulator, Disc Channel animation and a cut down Opera Browser with HTML pages for the manual) the Update partition for the Wii itself eats up x10 the space on the disc!

Koki Ito is so brilliant. He's the anchor holding so much of city pop together, and he makes complex grooves flow so smoothly like they're nothing. I was torn trying to pick a song to show off his stuff, but I think his work for Meiko Nakahara is super good! www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMZR...

I feel like we all need a universal coping mechanism. So let’s share your favourite bass guitarist or bassist.

If you see news of a StarFox SNES PC port. Kindly ignore it. It's another Slopcomp job and for extra spice, Kadowontu (Creator of StarFox EX) has admitted in broad daylight to not only using AI, but is also using the stolen source code from the gigaleaks & also stealing credit from others work.

I've managed to extract the PS2 BIOS from ps2_emu (Used in CECHA/b consoles) and ps2_netemu (Used for PS2 Classics on the PS3, PS4 and PS5. Some notes: It's based on the DTL-50000 revision BIOS, the one used within the PS2 TEST consoles for development testing on retail hardware. - See comments

Offsets: ps2_emu: 001B06E08 through to 00382E60F ps2_netemu: 00890A00 through to 00A609D07 So long as Fastboot is enabled within a PS2 Emulator, if you have a PS3, you can legally extract a working PS2 & PS1 BIOS from a BC PS3 or any PS3 for NetEmu. PS1 BIOS is at dev:flash0/ps1emu/ps1_rom.bin

Swapping ps1_rom.bin with another PS1 BIOS will restore the full PS1 opening, CD Player and Memory Card Menu. Ideally one from a DTL test or devkit. I've injected a full DTL PS2 BIOS into ps2_emu, but I need to work out how to resign it back into a SELF and test if it works on a CECHA/B PS3.

- OSDSYS is completely missing in these, as is the PS1DRV and DVD Player. So trying to boot them directly will result in the EE hanging on OSDSYS or XPARAM2. However, Fastbooting with them in a PS2 emulator WILL allow games to run with them. -NetEmu removed the RDRAM check, stripping out 10kb extra

I'll also point out that the author of this "recomp" has no qualms using the hard R word on anyone who dares to criticise them or AI use and is more than happy to steal commissioned work to feed it into AI. (Not knowing how copyrights work of course) Let's not support thin skinned man babies.

It's using PSXRecomp as it's backbone, which if you do so much as a surface level poke, shows it's using Claude V4 as one of it's primary code backends. So saying no A.I. was used in any capacity is outright incorrect/lying when your recomp backend is very much using it.

Realised I never designed a proper Light Hawk logo, so I quickly whipped one up whilst melting in 100F+ degree heat without air con. It depicts a Linnu flying above Aomanu whilst 2 beams of light break away from the celestial body.

And that's the NSO version of DK64 done via Any% speedrun. It's more or the less the exact same as it was on Wii U with only 3 slowdown fixes: 2 for the intro, one for Krazy Kong Klamour. K.Rool Tiny Phase was NOT FIXED. ares/Gopher and Real Hardware are still king #DonkeyKong #N64 #Nintendo64 #NSO

I can confirm Krazy Kong Klamour has artificial slowdown applied to it to make it actually playable. I'd have to check against hardware but it feels a little TOO slow now. ‪ #DonkeyKong #N64 #Nintendo64 #NSO

I also remembered to do a non-clothed variant of Myld's current base as well. Mostly did this so adding new outfits would be easier down the line and I can show off some of the battle scars he picked up following his fatal encounter with LAMBDA.

Thinking on the N64 NSO. We're not missing much of the library left people think of with the console. In an ideal scenario, I'd add: - Conker (M N64) - Diddy Kong Racing - F-Zero X Expansion Kit - Mario Artist Suite (Paint, Talent, Poly) - Mischief Makers - Tetrisphere - Bomberman Hero - RROW

Really though, I just want them to step their game up on the actual emulation backend because it's no better than what we had 20 years ago, and them seeing them struggle with the same issues from back then despite having public and open solutions to use is baffling when Hagi uses this info correctly

I'd expect DK64 to be running far faster than it should, similar to the Wii U VC version (It's the same emulation core), so some area's will be more difficult than on hardware or on an accurate N64 emulator like say ares, Gopher.
