Discovered the Yukon in 1985, never leaving. Historian, traveller, photographer, writer, wilderness hiker, naturist, dog lover, antifa - on some particularly fine days, all of those things. Photos are mine unless otherwise credited.

I'm extremely pleased to see the final trail for the Yukon Quest sled dog race, and to see that they hope it will become a year-round trail for Yukoners and visitors to use. Congratulations to the Quest team that made this happen - great work, folks! β€οΈ
Weβre excited to share a first look at the new Yukon Quest 2027 route. This map represents the current planned route. As trail work continues, small adjustments or detours may be made if changing terrain or environmental conditions require them.

This is Molly. She was finally found a week after her human fell down a 180-foot waterfall while hiking together in New Zealand. Her human was badly injured and rescued by helicopter, but Molly was missing. A week later, Molly was found at the base of the waterfall and reunited with her human. 14/10

Long COVID Awareness Day - it's a start. A start that should have happened years ago.
BREAKING: the city of Los Angeles just officially recognized Long COVID Awareness Day, and will light City Hall teal in observation of the day on March 15. I was at the City Hall meeting and just spoke with the advocates that made it happen. Story to come in @thesicktimes.org!
Posting one more motorcycle ride at BikerGeo earned me the major promotion I was after, as well as the advanced "Alaska Navigator" patch. Now I can sit back and enjoy the ride - except for the "Yukon Grand Tourer" patch, the next patches and levels are years away :) www.bikergeo.com/rides
