Just read the complete transcript of the Time magazine interview with Trump from September 28, and I don’t think there was a coherent thought in the entire thing.

My Dolly Parton story is that she was on an airplane with me. She was in first class and I was in coach way at the back and there were whispers all around that Dolly Parton was on the plane. A frisson of excitement!

When the flight landed at LAX we all filed out and were delighted to find that Dolly, instead of deplaning with the other first class passengers, stood at her seat facing backwards while everybody filed past her so she could say hi to us. What a sweetheart! ❤️

IDK: Jeffries and Kushner deciding how to deal with the corrupt Trump administration post-midterms does not make me feel warm and fuzzy.

The Mystery Money Powering Trump’s Second Term - The Wall Street Journal Once again, why do these so-called nonprofits NOT have to disclose their donors? And, what are the limits on how these funds can be spent? They appear to me to be gigantic slush funds.

Trump Paid $2 Million by South Korean Company Facing Trade Investigation www.nytimes.com/2026/07/14/u... The article refers to Eric Trump being hosted by the Base Group in South Korea and then in the next paragraph says that it was related to trade between the US and South Korea. Why is Eric

nytimes.comTrump Paid $2 Million by South Korean Company Facing Trade InvestigationThe payment illustrates the minefield Mr. Trump has created by maintaining personal financial ties with foreign businesses while he is in office.

Trump involved in discussions regarding trade in this respect? In its usual fashion, the New York Times did not include any follow up questions or reporting on that matter, but accepted the vague statements from the White House and the Trump organization.

"Plaintiffs cannot argue before the Supreme Court that Executive Branch actors ... 'must therefore be controlled by the Chief Executive[,]' in Slaughter, ... and then here, argue that the Parties are sufficiently adverse to establish an actual case or controversy." Hoist on their own petard !

"But perhaps the most startling misstatement advanced by Plaintiffs is their characterization of this case as “ordinary.” The Parties here are not private actors to a mine-run dispute, recounting their proficiency in the art of the deal they negotiated.

Lead Plaintiff and Defendants are public servants—the pinnacle of the Executive Branch—sworn to uphold the law, faithfully perform the duties of their office, and protect the interests of the American public.

... instead, they ignored ethical norms, court rules, and legal authority to manipulate the judicial process. ... they did so to gild their efforts to gain unprecedented access to the public fisc with the patina of legitimacy." [Emphasis added.]

Thousands of people stood in security lines for hours in severe heat to reach the National Mall, only to be ordered to leave as events were set to start. Waaaah

Behold: the Short-Fingered Vulgarian. When he’s not gesturing, Trump’s hands hang from his sleeves like crepe rubber gloves filled with yogurt.

I guess if you pretend hard enough that there was no slavery in America, or that there were no bad effects as a result, then it didn’t happen. Is that how that works?

He does realize that the next Democratic president can do the same thing to his nominees, doesn’t he? Oh, right, I forgot he’s stupid.

I absolutely hate military flyovers at sporting events. Four military helicopters just did flyover in Seattle at the #WorldCup US vs Australia match. Say NO to militarism. #NoWarButClassWar

Happy Juneteenth! Let’s celebrate the day when 4 million people (4 million people!) moved from bondage to freedom, and work hard to keep the promise of freedom alive for all of us!

The White Identitarians Are Having a Moment - The Atlantic Well, I’ve been (and probably benefited from being) white my entire life but I sure as hell don’t want anything to do with “rodeo, heavy metal, [or] NASCAR,” although I totally embrace hiking.

USA...stop doing stupid shit, like voting for reality tv stars to run our govt. LA voters...Spencer Pratt, a former MTV reality tv star, is backed by MTV network, which is owned by the Ellison family. You know, CBS, Paramount. If you vote for him, you're voting for fascism.

The Spanish Exception - The Atlantic “When the rich get extra money, they tend to save it, which simply pushes up asset prices; when the poor get extra money, they spend it, which creates all sorts of real economic activity.” Increased minimum wages benefit everyone. Progressive policies work.

Inside Cedars-Sinai, the hospital for the Hollywood elite - The Times of London What an idiotic article. What they’re describing a standard of care for US hospitals.

This is an objectively puerile statement by a federal judge given the holding: "There are many features of this case that make it complicated: the prominence of the personalities involved, the scandalizing content of the underlying statements, and, frankly, an

inappropriate level of tactical gamesmanship. But the outcome is simple. The Court will not be conscripted to oversee an abusively presented spat and so declines to reach the merits here." Mary Kay Vyskocil in Wolff v. Trump

I have been saying for years that Democrats should run against Republicans on the issue of corruption. Make fighting corruption the centerpiece of their hopefully populist campaigns. Well, if they don’t run on corruption this year, against Trump, then they deserve to lose.

Forgive me for sounding like a broken record, but we are not a Christian nation. We are a nation where you are free to be a Christian. Your religion guides you, not all of us. It’s as simple as that.

The Pageantry and Flattery of Donald Trump’s Visit to China - The New Yorker Why is it when he says something like this that I want to vomit? “I like this place,” Trump said. “I could get used to this.” He can’t even be authentically gracious.

Here’s a nonsequitur for you: In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump’s signature will appear on future U.S. paper currency along with the Secretary of the Treasury, marking the first time in history for a sitting president. What?
