this is fucking appalling. i already knew james dolan (who owns the knicks and madison square garden) was a douche but this is next-level. www.nytimes.com/athletic/771...

I've had a BEV for 1.5 years, and my wife has had one for 6. I want to be clear at no point in my life do I ever think about the range of the car. Currently I'm saving like $400/mo on gas compared to my last car.

Which of these is not like the others?

You want to read a phone book about the right way to screw two things together? NASA has you covered. (Please don’t think too hard about how every note in there is because a human got turned into unidentifiable goop, just use the safety wire.)

You ever see a billion dollar rocket just explode on the pad? That's watched over every second by hundreds of experts. Sure, try the same thing out in your car with none of those guys there, it'll be fine.

The suction is also dumb. We've known that works for a long time. It's banned in motorsports because if the car unsettles you lose that suction effect (think popping a suction cup off) and with that force gone the car immediately flies off track and crashes into something at extremely high speed.

If these are just hot compressed gas thrusters the demo last night would need multiple cubic meters of gas for what they showed (even at super high pressure) and I don't know where that fits in a car.

While I'm sure some sort of rocket derived system with chemicals so scary we worry about using them to launch rockets with thousands of safety people and procedures around work, no chance you could put them on a car and "refill them" before track use.
