Sometimes I feel awful joining friend groups because it feels like I’m just forcing my way in. Especially if that group is like a small streamer’s community, it feels like I just show up and fit in, but i feel bad because it feels like I haven’t been there long enough to be in that group.

there's a big misconception going around that if you play comp splatoon, your motivation is solely to improve, when that's simply not true for everyone remember that this is a social space and outlet for people as well, and some would prefer just having fun compared to the work it takes to improve

I think one of my favorite ways to play #PEAK is with a large-ish group (9-15), and split up into small groups anywhere between 2-4 at the start of every campfire. I think it’s a really fun experience and I kinda want to arrange sessions like that more often.

I did a session like that on my birthday with a bunch of my close friends from different servers and everyone had a great time. PEAK being such a cooperative game with the main focus being ‘never leave a scout behind’ makes it such a fun bonding experience.

#compsplatoon This is an idea that came into my mind pretty recently, but what if every weapon had some kind of stat adjustment feature similar to EVs from Pokemon?

obviously it'd be to a more miniscule degree, but I think if you had like, 5 points to spread across a few different stats like ink-consumption, fire-rate, range, etc. that changed the numbers very slightly (less than 1% change per point), it might be able to work and allow for extra dynamics.

thinking about it, the stats that would be adjustable by points would be anything that the gear abilities should NOT be able to touch, so stuff like: - Whiting Frames (-1f per point) - Grounded RNG (-0.5 deg per point) - Damage (variable, always <1.0) - Fire-rate/charge time (variable)

The fine tuning of this (alongside the already existing gear abilities) might allow the ability to remove weapons from the game but still allow for those playstyles if you keep the right weapons in the game.

I had 6 songs left in a marathon of an UNBEATABLE challenge (Folio_Final C_06), a parent came into my room so I paused the game. When they left I clicked back to the game, but since I never tabbed out of it, it restarted the song (which invalidated the challenge)

Because of this, a lot of the time I’ll feel bad introducing people to a multiplayer game I have a non-zero amount of experience in, as I feel like I’m subtracting from their experience by being able to “carry” them.
