The third Peanuts special, the Emmy-nominated "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," was first broadcast 60 years ago, on October 27, 1966. (The special lost the Emmy Award to Hanna-Barbera’s largely forgotten adaptation of “Jack and the Beanstalk”…huh??)
