'Birds of a feather' by Billie Eilish except during the second verse the "huh"s are replaced with minecraft villager sounds

So.. for the past few years I've been kinda terrible about sharing what music I've been into (as well as posting in general). Gonna try changing that this year.

youtube.comMatahara - Caroline (Official Audio)YouTube video by Matahara

www.youtube.com/watch?v=e94x... This song is cute, and apparently about Caroline Polachek. I like it.

youtube.combjörk: arisen my sensesYouTube video by björk

www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Vrq... Not from this year. I'm just posting it because I recently revisted Utopia and felt bad for not really getting it at the time

youtube.comGurriers - Nobody's Coming To Save You [Official Video]YouTube video by GURRIERSVEVO

www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBvf... I saw this band at a free festival showcase thing earlier this year. The entire room was a pit. It was crazy. Anyway, they're great. I'm seeing them again in October.

youtube.comThe Haunted Youth - BrokenYouTube video by The Haunted Youth

www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1TN... Saw this band at the same showcase. If you can stomach some clumsy lyrical choices they're worth checking out if you like nugaze-y music

So.. for the past few years I've been kinda terrible about sharing what music I've been into (as well as posting in general). Gonna try changing that this year.

Been terrible at keeping up with this thread oops. Anyway, contender for album of the year. Just an emaculately constructed thing from start to finish: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRx-...

youtube.comLoathe - Block Of Flats (OFFICIAL VISUALIZER)YouTube video by SharpTone Records

www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsAc... Also, Loathe. Their newest album is... jazzier(?) than their last one, and has a great mix of beautiful and brutal moments in it. Also really recommend 'I let it in and it took everything' as well if that's your sound.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKum... Whole album is a huuuge recommend (especially if you like microtonal stuff), but this is my favourite song off of it. Had the pleasure of seeing most of this album performed live last year by sheer luck.

Every now and then I think of the 'say "Fuzzy Pickles"' reference in Better Man and like, I need to know how and why there is an Earthbound reference in the goddamn Robbie Williams chimpanzee film

17 Apr

Is Fuzzy Pickles like.. a common phrase when taking photos? I've only ever seen it in and referenced in Earthbound. I feel like I am the only person alive who noticed this, and is bothered by it. I have googled 'Better man earthbound fuzzy pickles reference' to no avail.

One of my favourite things about the whitney houston cover of "I will always love you" is that there's a secret bar of 11/16 in there that nobody notices

Using Suno is music production in the same way that ordering a takeaway is cooking

I guess this is my subtweet to that 'suno haters think music production is only for working class people' monopoly man post.

Sleep Token were the band I listened to most last year. "Sundowning" remains my favourite album of theirs, mainly because the highlights on that album soar so damn high. This song in particular I've been revisiting recently: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCGg...

Anyone got any recommendations for music distributers (preferably good for UK based artists)? Given that soundrop have increased the cost of submitting music to streaming services by ~5x, I'm considering my options.
