palizard kop ⁂

ah man, i got sick :(

the youth don't seem to realize that you can turn your phone to landscape when taking a photo.

it took a little time, due to me running around so much this past week but i put together a blog post with some documentation of the show i did in the projection mapped church! https://palomakop.tv/blog/2026-10-06_live-video-performance-for-ambient/

i'm secretly a lizard.

i came across some discourse recently criticizing the trend over time towards shorter and shorter sentences across all forms of writing. i recently did some copy editing for an academic text written by a person whose career peaked in the 70s, in which i had to cut down and rearrange a *lot* of […]

some people were watching this VHS tape at my friend's studio today, i saw that it is also available on youtube and i highly recommend finding and watching it!

freddie fish jumpstart 4th grade roller coaster tycoon zoo tycoon pharaoh myst riven exile runescape (the only one on this list that i didnt get on cd-rom)

doing visuals in a church tonight (projection mapping in progress)

love to wake up, drink a smoothie, and catch up on some people's personal blog rss feeds

i learned something new by breaking something. it turns out wildcard A and AAAA domains (*.mydomain.tld) ONLY resolve for subdomains where there are no other records (none at all) on that subdomain. i had my nextcloud on a subdomain (let's say nextcloud.mydomain.tld) and it worked fine with […]

i was getting annoyed that the dog i'm dogsitting doesn't want to go to bed. but i dont want to go to bed either :<

estoy tootando

i watched jurassic park for the first time last night.

unpopular opinion: i think i kind of love email? i do not have the problem where the inbox is very full of unread messages though. that would stress me out. i mark things as read and archive them on an ongoing basis. email is bad at being a substitute for chat, but it's great as an asynchronous […]

i learned even more about email today. if you set your rua for dmarc reports to an email address at a domain different from the one you're editing dns for, you need to put a corresponding "_report" record on the domain of the rua email address. makes sense i guess, but it never occurred to me […]

the rss reader i use for "news" (vore.website) has been down for a few days. this has been excellent for my mental health. the reader i use for following actual humans' websites (miniflux) continues to function just fine. i like to use miniflux for that purpose since it tracks read status; vore […]

i am now using sqlite to track what movies i have watched! i wanted something like letterboxd but without the part where it's someone else's website. also, TMDB is great.

boy, does planning to share a project make it a lot more work (not necessarily a bad thing)

wrote about the AV show we played on friday: https://palomakop.tv/blog/2026-08-09_live-show-with-monochromatic-pool/

some days i catch whiff of something or other that's happening right now and i just want to unplug my modem and leave it like that forever.

running SDI up here today whoa

wrote a conclusion on my patch log for #weekOfPatching , and shared a few preview images of patches i didn't have time to fully document within the context of the challenge! https://palomakop.tv/notes/patch-log/#conclusions

#weekOfPatching is technically in its last hours, but i was at a family thing and unable to post another patch today. and i have to go back to work tomorrow -_- oh well, i have some patches that i still need to document and will share asap! thanks to all who participated, i have really enjoyed […]

#weekOfPatching — i love the fediverse. so many people, some known to me before and some new, making amazing and weird stuff with patches of all kinds...

yay, people are making some excellent bloops (and one other video person!) for #weekOfPatching excited to see where things go this week! seeing what other people make is making me feel so motivated to patch more.

day 1 of #weekOfPatching - i made some video wiggles. i wrote a whole post about on my site (we even have footnotes!) https://palomakop.tv/notes/patch-log/#day-1-colors-panning

we have some individual people's patch logs for #weekOfPatching linked to from this page now: https://palomakop.tv/week-of-patching/ if you plan to host a log on your site, let me know and i'll add it! (it's not required to participate of course, though it is encouraged to keep a log of some […]

i posted on my blog about my performance this past weekend in upstate new york https://palomakop.tv/blog/2026-07-03_reality-orp-performance-at-weird/

oh my gosh! #weekOfPatching is coming up very soon, i had meant to post about it again when it was one week away, but that's already past. it starts on monday! if you have a patching-based practice and would like some low-pressure community motivation to make some things next week, consider […]
