A lot of online bullying/expression policing I think boils down to people yell at others for their decisions because they don't feel secure or affirmed in their own. Secure people don't get much from bullying others.

One of the weird moments from childhood that made me slowly realize I was kind of "raised wrong" was when I did something at school that required writing an apology letter, I would write about how terrible I felt for doing someone wrong. (I'm talking like 5th grade ok.) But the teacher would correct

..correct this flaw in my apology letter like "no no no , don't make it about your feelings! Just recognize the harm and offer to correct the behavior or make amends." As a neurodivergent kid , (probably with a fair share of PTSD from home,) I thought feeling bad WAS part of the apology requirement,

because that was what the other person wants, because how the hell would they know I'm remorseful unless I feel like shit? I didn't understand then that remorse was taken for granted among normal people, and that an apology doesn't require a performance of fear and dread.

Disappointed that we do not live in a timeline where a mouthwash brand partnered with Robert Pattinson for a teaser Primetime movie trailer, or for any spooky collabs for a bright red and spicy mouthwash flavors like a sugar free, cinnamon-cherry. 🍒🐦‍🔥 🤔😮‍💨

I'm not sure what "worthy" feels like at all. Is it like the soft motion of winter's first snow, falling on the grass at night? A graceful, inaudible movement that happens no matter what anyone dares to say about it?

Is it the glittering of the stars and moonlight on a child's first snowman before anyone takes it upon themselves to kick it down just to be cruel? Is worthiness the little light inside of people's eyes, that gets dimmed every time some authority throws it in the trash? Can it be recycled?

Perhaps the most stagnant person you know is becoming sick of watching their own life's reruns. But they are too afraid to voice contempt for their own complacency, because they've been trained to never look ungrateful, or afraid that their situation is already as good as it will ever be.

I have confessions to make. I have replied "STOP" to so many DNC fundraising text messages. (I did donate to Angie Nixon though) But there's just so many candidates that I don't know enough about to feel comfortable giving them money.

Maybe the reason pessimists thrive during economic depressions is because we always expect things to go wrong. It's almost like a destabilizing miracle when things go well, we almost don't know what to do with ourselves. A horrible mentality to have, but it has saved my ass many times in the past.

Maybe I'm just ranting, trying to justify feeling not so bad about personality traits that others would call a fatal flaw. Things about us that pop psych wants us to feel like shit about can still be tools that we can be grateful for if they've helped us survive hard, painfully unfair times.

So maybe neurodivergence and trauma can be a fucked up kind of superpower. I want to be the kind of person who is constantly learning, because early childhood taught me that things are never completely what they seem. Our realities were never fully able to be taken for granted from a young age.

That and just a relentless desire to improve things, even when I always feel like I fall short. Maybe low self esteem keeps me destabilized and humble enough to never take anything for granted.

..aside from a mass traumatic event (like COVID, 9/11, natural disasters from climate change etc, inflating costs of living to people's breaking points, after about age 29-39, people start getting set in their ways, and don't want to change or BR changed by anyone else.

(unless they lack a stable sense of self, lol) maybe that weakness of mine is a superpower. My low self esteem makes me adaptable in a very deranged kind of way, but aside from dissociaters and plurals, most ppl don't easily change. But propaganda works in other ways to change folks..

People don't want to be told they are dumb and wrong. They want to put puzzle pieces together here and there that appeal to their current feelings, and feel like they "solved" a grand secret. Conspiracy theory sites like Breitbart and AI psychosis preys on this all too well. TikTok algorithm too.

I phone banked for Kamala in 2024 a couple times. I'll be honest, calling Michigan was brutal, esp rural Michigan. Got hung up on and laughed at a lot. People just see you as spam--- The same way I delete the fundraising texts. I think people hate to be told what they're doing already isn't enough.

I used to be so idealistic. I believed if people were given enough good facts, they could change their minds for the better and make positive decisions. The past 11 years has proved me wrong. I think there's a critical window between ages 11-28 where people may still be open minded. But, aside from

And then there's the guilt of not wanting to phone bank. I considered phone banking tomorrow for planned parenthood action alliance to make calls for pro choice candidates or something (Thursdays are my one sanity day where I'm not bothered by the other people I live with.) but I doubt it would help

Also fck " primsky-labeler " for labelling this post "sexual-figurative". It's literally stick figure/doodle of a Halloween costume idea of Nikki from Obsession wearing a T-SHIRT and SHORTS covered in fake blood. My God!!! Such prudish bots!!

It's crazy how the other day, I had a dream about an earthquake happening, but had NO idea that a mild earthquake actually did happen during the day. I swear it's so cool how our subconscious picks up on stuff, and how we take all the unnoticed stimuli throughout the day for granted until we sleep.

I've been scouring the internet for YEARS for this product that you'd think would exist already and it pisses me off so much that it doesn't yet. NOBODY UNDERSTANDS THAT I HAVE A MIGHTY NEED FOR A WEARABLE [°•(-🌞🫧💖💕🏝️🌱💧🐟🫧🫍🦈🫧🐟💧🌱🏝️💕💖🫧🌠-)•°] ON MY WRIST!!

I think it's a close tie between Halloween Express or the very stressful Dentist woman. About 2 weeks or under a month. Halloween Express wasn't terrible but they just let me go for low availability. The dentist was.......well let's just say she always had temps.

People who lowball on Poshmark, don't get offended when I go through your closet and share everything that you're selling that is similar to what I'm selling and it's higher than your lowball ass price, and then I don't even respond. If ur gonna be weird then so will I. 😅 You made it weird first.

Yeah anyone with an energy-related disability can let you know, if we don’t let our disabilities stop us, we can completely ruin our ability to function at all, sometimes permanently.

I saw PRIMETIME for bargain Tuesday and yeah, it's kind of a gross movie but it's also such a good time, watching Pattinson be weird nerdy overly intense, nasally Chris Hanson, vampiring out over sacrificing pedos to The Eye as he eats bright red Fruit Roll-ups.

Maybe I'm weird for this but I think under a benevolent leftist dictatorship we would capture and imprison all the ICE agents into a video game prison where they get to live out their violent fantasies to the fullest until they go blind. Give them what they want until they can't stand it anymore.

That time someone dumped a toy house on the cemetery wall and, when I crouched a bit, some ✨ Hollywood Magic ✨ occurred.
