Many dinosaurs are known from incomplete and even fragmentary bones. So how can we describe a new dinosaur if it is only known from a few fragmentary bones? Well we simply compare them to already established dinosaurs to see what they are most similar to. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Thatโ€™s the technique used with pretty much all fragmentary dinosaurs. For example Invictibellatrix. Sheโ€™s the new megaraptoran recently discovered. Itโ€™s known from a partial braincase that was compared to many different types of theropods, and was most similar to other megaraptors.

Dinosaurs in the MCU? In Multiverse of Madness we actually get a really quick glimpse of a T. rex and a Triceratops fighting. Its when they are jumping through the different universes. And unfortunately that quick shot was the best part of the entire movie.

You know Rexy? No not the one from Jurassic Park, the one from Night at the Museum. Well how accurate is Rexy? One could argue he is the most accurate on screen T. rex given he is a skeleton. Until you look a little closer. So lets do that. His arms are actually pointing downward. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Something theropods couldnโ€™t do unless their wrists were broken. Rexy is also missing parts of his pelvis and ribcage. But the biggest inaccuracy is with his skull. Rexy is most notably missing his antorbital fenestra (the large opening between the eye socket and nasal opening). ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

They seem to have combined the antorbital fenestra with the eye socket by removing the lacrimal bone (the bone between the eye socket and antorbital fenestra) and moving everything a little further back. So it just looks a little off. But regardless, we love Rexy ๐Ÿฆ–

I WAS WINNING. I HAD 10 STARS AND OVER 300 COINS THIS LOSER LANDS ON CHANCE TIME AND STEALS THEM ALL. ONE THE LAST ROUND.

Mario Party with Mr. Arlo and itโ€™s really putting our relationship to the test. STEAL MY STAR OR MONEY AGAIN AND SEE WHAT FUCKING HAPPENS

Saw somebody say you can just pick truth in truth or dare and then lie. And no the fuck you canโ€™t? Truth or dare is a legally binding contract. You tell the truth or you pick dare so you never have to tell truths. But you canโ€™t lie. You can never lie.

We have found T. rex bite marks on Triceratops, Edmontosaurus, even other T. rex specimens. But you know what we have zero confirmed evidence of? T. rex bite marks on Ankylosaurus. Paleontologists generally believe they were high risk low reward prey due to their armor and tail clubs.

AHAHAHAHAHA This emergency vet can get fucked. They misquoted us for the bill by $1400 and now refuse to give us Anakin until we pay it in full. Oh and they donโ€™t offer payment plans. GIVE ME MY FUCKING CAT YOU GREEDY ASS FUCKS BEFORE I START STABBING PEOPLE.

Iโ€™m having to use my surgery money to cover Anakins emergency vet bill and that covers just the fee to be seen and the deposit. Heโ€™s gonna need to be here for a couple of days at least. So if you can I would appreciate any help! ๐Ÿ™ Venomo and PayPal: @feraldactal

Someone asked how dangerous I think Velociraptors would be if they were alive today. So Velociraptors were roughly the size of a turkey. And while a turkey could certainly mess you up, youโ€™d likely survive an encounter. However Velociraptors had their sickle claws. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

And they probably went the RPR (raptor prey restraint) route. Which is where they would jump onto their prey, stick their sickle claws in and just start chowing down. Similar to how modern birds of prey hunt. So depending on where the Velociraptor got you, you probably wouldnโ€™t survive. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Now I do think you could fight off a Velociraptor before it got its sickle claw in you. A pack though? Youโ€™re absolutely dead. So in my humble dino nerd opinion, if Velociraptors were still alive and you encountered one, youโ€™d have a 50/50 chance.

Fun fact about me. When I was 22 I took my lip piercing out because I thought I didnโ€™t like it. Then a week later I realized I actually did like it and wanted to put it back but the hole had closed so I repierced it with a thumb tack ๐Ÿ“Œ๐Ÿ™ƒ

We are taking our old washer to the scrap yard and Mr. Arlo was like: โ€œMaybe I should have one of the guys from work come help me get it up the stairs. Itโ€™s probably too heavy for you.โ€ First of all sir, fuck you. Iโ€™m tough as hell. Second of all, it was in fact too heavy ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

What does Velociraptor, Brachiosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Diplodocus have in common? They are all more closely related to a pigeon than they are to dinosaurs like Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Stegosaurus, and hadrosaurs. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Thats because theropods and sauropods are saurischian (lizzard hipped) dinosaurs, just like all birds. While dinosaurs like Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Stegosaurus, etc, are ornithischian (bird hipped) dinosaurs.

And just like that Iโ€™m devastated ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I came home to this and Iโ€™m sobbing. So many books are bent and Iโ€™m genuinely losing my shit ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

My little brother was face timing me to show me the new place he got with his boyfriend and at the last room I told him that there was definitely someone in the corner. Turns out that someone actually died in that house. He both loves and hates that Iโ€™m a witch ๐Ÿ˜…

โ€œYou just donโ€™t understand movie literacy if you didnโ€™t like Creggers Resident Evil movie.โ€ Or the movie was just straight fucking garage you pretentious assbutt. It was supposed to be Resident Evil, it wasnโ€™t. So it failed at being the thing it was supposed to be.

The Biohazard fan film by Chandler Riggs proves that an accurate game to movie adaptation is possible. Sure itโ€™s only 19 minutes long but they were able to do ALL that without a hollywood budget. THIS IS WHAT RESIDENT EVIL FANS WANT!! Now Iโ€™m mad all over again about the slop we keep getting ๐Ÿ˜ค

Wake up nerds. A new megaraptor has just been described! Invictibellatrix amberina, which means โ€œunconquered female warriorโ€. It lived in Early Cretaceous in the Wessex Formation of England. This is an incredible find for a few reasons! 1.) This is the very first megaraptor found in Europe. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

2.) The fossil that was used to describe Invictibellatrix was a partial braincase that sat in a museum since 1924. She sat ignored in a drawer for over 100 years. It makes you wonder how many other species are sitting around waiting to be described. 3.) Finding new dinosaurs is always cool. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

The researchers said the name Invictibellatrix was intended to โ€œgive hope and strength to all those who are bullied, discriminated, victimised, and oppressed that tomorrow will be theirs and not to give up in face of such odds!โ€ Sheโ€™s beautiful and I love her so much already ๐Ÿ˜ญ
