This is true. I think our generation's problem is that we grew up with higher quality TV cartoons in the 90s - 00s, PLUS all the big sakuga-stuffed anime also left a big impression on us during the 00s anime boom, so now we try & emulate all that when its not realistic for smaller teams to pull off.

a cool thing about indie animation is that it's expected to save the entire industry, every show has to look better than the things the fans grew up on or it's a waste of time, there's no union to be found anywhere, no budget for any of it, and asking the audience to pay anything to watch is illegal

Switch 2 really isn't a bad name (even though I wanted Super Nintendo Switch) but the main thing is that the mystery is gone now because we already know what the next 10 Nintendo consoles will be called at this point, just adding numbers to the lucrative Switch concept Playstation style, lol.
