Today a White man was reading about a Black man’s story in addiction recovery and said what surprised him was that the man didn’t talk about discrimination much and I thought, no, no one talks about the air they breathe very much.

In the East, bells called people to prayer. Catholic clergy used them to pray 5 times a day. Churches had bell towers to remind people. Then churches forgot this association. Later bells no longer rang and now churches rarely have bells at all.

People don’t want to face male entitlement but this is a face it can create.

We now know that the concern was never about immigrants not being loyal to America since the ruling party voted to destroy democracy if necessary to stay in power.

Grateful the Missouri campers escaped the fate of the Texas campers during the last flooding. Hearts still go out to Texas families.

The National Domestic Abuse Hotline lists factors in not leaving. One is religious beliefs. The organized church can do something about that. They can publically endorse human rights and stop upholding male entitlement. The need is urgent.
