I mentioned it in the announcement post but LSD:R is older now than LSD:DE was when the project first started in 2011. I was 14 when I started and I'm 29 now 👴

Gotta say, as someone that spent 15 years of my spare time hacking away at a fan-made remake of a PS1 game, I have rather complicated feelings about the fact that people can just use AI agents to make native ports now in the space of days.

The manual reverse engineering required to achieve what I did was painstaking, tedious, and very slow-going. What took me years now takes hours, with enough tokens and credits.

I just feel a bit redundant now. Maybe this work isn't supposed to be for humans anymore, when you can be lapped many times over by those paying for AI credits. But this has taken all the joy out of it for me - I don't think you can call an AI-generated port a labour of love.
