Artwork used internally at DIC Entertainment during the production of the Super Mario World cartoon, replacing Marge Simpson with Mario. According to a former DIC employee, this was made due to an inside joke at the studio, though the exact nature of the joke has been lost.

Before and after receiving some critiques. I'm still seeing a lot of things that could be done better (particularly shading), but I'm overall happy with the result. Kind of reminds me of the planet guards on Balatro, although I wasn't using them as a reference. #pixelart #spaceart #beforeandafter
