5/6 Our best defense is to vote early and in person. Find out what to do if you don't receive your mail-in ballot. Whenever/however you vote, track your ballot if possible. Be on guard for any "ballot curing" issues you may have to tend to in the days immediately following election day.

6/6 Help a few other folks accomplish the same. We CAN'T let this get away from us. Hope for the best, but absolutely prepare and plan to jump through hoops to get your vote counted.

3/6 Consult a reputable source on when/how/where to register to vote and vote in your area. Mark your personal voting day on your calendar.

4/6 Check your voter registration frequently, and find out what ID you might need. Even if the SAVE Act does not pass, Voter ID requirements can and do change. Be prepared.

1/6 Let these USPS rulings wake us up: do you want to be scrambling for documentation if the SAVE Act passes? I didn't think so.

2/6 Do everything in your power to get whatever documentation YOU need to prove US Citizenship: Passport, Passport Card, certified copies of birth certs, marriage certs, divorce papers. DON'T wait. This stuff takes time, even on a good day.
