I love boardgames, card games & tabletop RPGs — and I’m designing a stabby little card game.

We played Klaus Teuber's rules for two-person Catan and it is worth searching up bc it creates new dynamics thanks to chits that you earn and spend, as well as by leveraging two dummy players to act as area control spoilers. It is really thinky and satisfying. We're eager to try it with Seafarers.😁

RuneQuest, Chaosium's renowned fantasy #TTRPG set in the mythic world of Glorantha, has been inducted into the ENNIE Awards Hall of Fame. The announcement and presentation was made as part of the 2026 ENNIE Awards Ceremony at Gen Con yesterday.

I will never stop loving Carcassonne; it’s as stabby or as chill as the table wants it to be. This game was with River 2, Shrines, and the King and Robber expansions. Simple tweaks add to the fun! 🏰 ❤️

My friends and I are focused on RQ and CoC but I bought Mothership on a whim and it has been a pleasure reading the rule books. The Warden’s Operation Manual is something GMs of any system could benefit from as it gets into the mechanics of storytelling via RPGs. Bravo to Tuesday Knight. So good.

I was going to solo something super thinky but I’m really glad I opted to play Dorf Romantik instead. Not a high scoring game but super meditative and relaxing; like a bubble bath for my brain. I think that’s what I need more of these days. #boardgames

My buddies and I have been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s but sadly one of us moved 2,400 miles across the country after all these years. Fortunately, we developed pretty good online gaming skills during COVID and they are keeping us together. #rpg #ttrpg

Jim Wampler announced this morning that we lost Tim Kask, who passed in his sleep on the 30th. Tim was the creator of The Dragon, which set the foundation for what an industry-focused magazine should be. He was an icon and one of the few early founders of TSR still with us.

I friggin love ducks. My group has played successive RQ campaigns off and on since the 80s and they’ve all featured at least one duck. Better yet, we’ve made sure they’re a family lineage. So the duck in the campaign I’m GMing now is the great grandson of a duck I had when I was a player.

Want to play a Duck? After appearing as a location and then counters in Greg Stafford's 1975 board war game White Bear and Red Moon ("Ducks, Ducks, and More Ducks"), as #TTRPG creatures Ducks first appeared in @chaosium.bsky.social's first edition of #RuneQuest (1978).

I always thought Katrin Dirim’s illustration style was perfectly suited to RunQuest, and now she’s launched a character generator for endless creative madness. Gotta love it! Here’s my first shot at it:

Okay these are my fave *settings* but not necessarily my fave games. 1. Glorantha (RuneQuest) 2. Alpha Complex (Paranoia) 3. Arkham/1920s Earth (Call of Cthulhu) 4. The Old West (Boot Hill) 5. Post-Apocalyptic North America (Gamma World)

What are your top 5 TTRPG settings? Here are the five I keep coming back to: 1) Doskvol, from Blades in the Dark 2) Vimary, from Tribe 8 3) Gloam, from Shadows over Driftchapel 4) Innistrad, from Magic: The Gathering 5) The Known World, from Artesia There's a definite dark/gothic theme in there.
