i really like just how many of the 'mons in Pokopia are female! (Their genders are confirmed by the Spanish translation and I assume other gendered languages as well) not just the ones with clear sexual dimorphism but other random 'mons, even ones that don't seem traditionally "feminine".

Vaporeon for example is female, I assume other eeveelutions are as well, I find that cute because Eevee are mostly male. Bulbasaur is a girl too. Chef Dente is a sweet older lady, Corsola as well.

There's also (from what I can remember, I may be wrong) Persian, Goodra, Ninetales, Minccino and Cinccino, Magmar, Combusken, Kricketot, Combee, and Politoed. I'll have to check next time I play lol

Pokopia is great bc you can be having fun building silly little Pokemon houses and then you’ll find a human note and experience the deepest sadness a Pokemon game can possibly give you.

The whole game is about Pokemon that don’t know their trainers will never come back and there don’t seem to be any wild Pokemon besides the legendaries, which makes me assume all wild Pokemon went extinct due to the disasters. Silly little Pokemon game? Have a side of existential dread.

It’s wild how… Open the game is about how sad it is. But it’s also such a cute game with silly dialogue. The innocence of the Pokemon makes it sadder. They genuinely don’t get it. And it’s not fully clear if the protagonist understands either. It’s all so Hachiko coded.

“Yay! I’ll build the perfect home for Sprigatito!!!” Newspaper: the world is doomed and there is nothing we can do to fix it. We’ll have to leave our Pokemon behind in order to survive.
