'Request Stop, Hampstead.' (c1950) Stephen Bone painted a world full of charm. His style went out of fashion for some years but is again gaining popularity. If you are wondering about the colour of the bus sign, white bus signs with a red circle indicated 'compulsory' stops.

It's a testament to Meta's terribly tarnished brand, which I don't trust at all, that I am so extremely reluctant to opt in to its algorithmically surfaced content recommendations "based on my interests" in the Facebook timeline.

'Still Life with Apples,' is an understated picture by William Merritt Chase, and a departure from his more elaborate still life works of the 1870s and 1880s. It is likely one of several paintings he bartered for goods and services after moving from New York to St. Louis
