Day 18 of the indoor growing system. Planted a second lettuce yesterday and need to thin out tomatoes and strawberries. Also, sunflowers and bees. 🌱🌻🐝

It’s what’s for dinner! Sausage, pepperoni, mushroom and sun-dried tomato oil. 🌱🍽️🍕 TGIF!

Update for the indoor growing setup. On 8/27 the first tomatoes sprouted. We have 5 seedlings in one pot so the plan is to transfer 4 to separate pots. I cannot ever waste viable seedlings. Also, it looks like one of the strawberry pots has signs of germination today! 🥬🍅🍓🌱

We decided to grow lettuce indoors because of all the cooties causing food recalls lately. It’s too hot in TX after April for lettuces so bought this indoor set up. Planted 1 lettuce, 3 strawberries and 3 tomatoes on 8/23. Lettuce germinated 8/25. 🌱

Welp, here comes the ice storm this Sunday. One last look at the veggies before we tuck them in. Radishes, cabbage, pak choy, rocket and red leaf lettuce, egg plant, fava beans, snow peas, broccoli and cauliflower. Will see everyone on Tuesday. 🌱🫰

Getting ready for the ice storm here in SE TX. First up, I tried a new Brioche recipe and look at this rise! Got to give credit to Sally for the recipe. www.instagram.com/reel/DQHMu8U... Next up pinto beans with corn bread and chicken and corn soup. Bring it! 🧊❄️🥶🍽️

Hello all. I took a social media hiatus but I am back. We’ve had a mild winter here in SE TX so the winter veggies are growing well. The Almond Verbena is extremely happy and blooming like crazy. The bees are buzzing happily and the fragrance is wonderful. Good night and see y’all tomorrow. 🌱🐝🤍

It’s almost August and the summer heat has settled in. What is still blooming in your gardens? My Giant Milkweed, Pride of Bermuda and Vitex Trees are enjoying the heat.

Clouds from the other night. When she passed over our home, we received a little rain. ☁️🌧️

Mystery plant update. She continues to grow and is about five feet long and has a bloom. Do pumpkins have male and female flowers? Just wondering what to look for. 🌱
