Raised where the border is a bridge. I still believe in bridges, between nations, between people. I believe in the quiet power of intelligence, in science, equal rights, equity, and dignity even under fire. Ignorance burns hot, but intelligence burns long.

My first 1000 posts can be summed like this: tRump is stupid, his presidency is illegitimate so he’s a dictator. Hate and fear and perpetual victimhood are not sustainable. Critical thinking and sound logic is always required. It’s the guns. Release the Epstein files. And never give up hope.

To this day, I still carry the inability to understand how anyone looks at a person so bereft of virtue, so criminal because it’s all his narcissistic brain can register as success, and so monumentally ignorant and conclude that they have found their beloved leader. Someone please make it make sense

I can't say it any more clearly. Donald Trump is the enemy of the United States, an agent of chaos, and intends to destroy this country. Unless and until we recognize this fact, we are doomed.

It would not surprise me if future generations declare the 20s as one of the most significant periods of scientific discovery and knowledge advancement in all of human history. How ironic that our leaders and so many with wealth and power right now are amongst the dumbest people imaginable.

And btw, I stand with the United States of America, not Trump. In fact, it’s because I love this country so much that I oppose Trump. Trump is America’s enemy.👇

I stand with Canada, not Trump. I stand with Ukraine, not Trump. I stand with NATO, not Trump. I stand with the free world, not Trump. You?

@naomiwildman.bsky.social The Griffin Incident omg 😱 I was hoping to find someone to comment on wtf that Strange New Worlds episode was. Bluesky has become boring af so hopefully that’s the reason you’re inactive here. Hopefully all is well. If anyone saw that, drop a comment.

God: “I tried my best but I can’t figure out how to enact my grand plan without suffering. Sorry a child has to get their face burned off and go through a lifetime of pain, but be thankful Jesus had a bad weekend so that you can be lobotomized to withstand a never ending afterlife.”

We built and opened a bridge that will be a game changer in improving cross-border trade, easing traffic congestion, and creating new economic opportunities for both Canada and the United States.

Theist talks often devote far more attention to avoiding hell than to understanding eternal fulfillment. This may be because suffering is easy to imagine while a coherent picture of endless flourishing raises profound questions about identity, memory, purpose, relationships, novelty, and freedom.

Our minds did not evolve to fathom the scale of the universe. Shrinking that wonder down to a human frame created the concept of god. It was inevitable that would happen. But with every natural explanation the awe grows while god shrinks with the gaps. And the grandeur revealed is more spectacular.

My mom had a dangerous dog. She would put it out on a chain and it would run in circles nonstop and the chain would eventually break. What she didn’t do is call the chain a disaster and stop using it and then claim that everyone the dog hurt supports a fence while failing to get it back on a chain.

If tRump’s cerebral hemispheres were scooped out they’d have to be handled and disposed of under Level A protection. If his head cavity was then filled with 10 day old chicken breasts, his clucking would be the most coherent sounds he ever made.

Rest assured that someone born today will grow up in a world where tRump’s name and likeness will have been removed from everything except the pages of history where he will be forever reviled as one of the worst people ever to have lived.

The American Revolution was against unaccountable power. The 2026 American crisis is about whether a system built to prevent it can still be effective.Today we celebrate our Independence Day.Tomorrow we continue to fight to ensure our government is deriving its powers from the consent of the governed

It’s hard to celebrate the Declaration of Independence’s 250th anniversary when it marked independence from a theocratic aligned monarchy yet now we have a constitutionally disqualified president dictator aligned with Christian theocracy.Maybe we’ll be in a better state for the Constitution’s 250th.

tRump won in 24 and one of my thoughts was the shit show he’d make of the 250 celebration. I wasn’t even close. He did try to do what I thought he’d successfully do which is line up acts and make it all about him, but he failed as miserably at that as he does with everything else.

We have a nation of people who absolutely cannot think critically. So when tRump constantly loses and falls and then blames someone else, they can’t connect the dots to understand that winners win regardless of who is against them, but losers never adapt to find a way to win. They fail and blame.

If a frog appears out of thin air as you’re getting ready, tells you that you look great then disappears in a shimmer. You will have had a personal experience feeding a very strong belief in what you saw. But if you can’t show it, then you don’t know it. Knowledge and belief are two separate things.

Hope is a good thing, but I really wonder how a religion that threatens burning for eternity or the alternative of an eternity as a lobotomized version of yourself is providing people with hope. Wouldn’t it be great if we could help people thrive in the life we all know exists? That’d be real hope.

What a shame the church mutated from wonderful services to communities with outreach and support and charity into what we see today…disgusting disinformation machines designed to keep people afraid and gullible so that they’ll funnel every last dollar into the bank accounts of crazy-eyed pastors.

Anything wrong with having faith on a personal basis? In my opinion, no. Some people need to have a faith-based framework to feel comfortable in their existence. But we need to tread carefully on a societal scale because faith is not a pathway to truth.

I left out the clause in my wedding vows that should have gone a bit beyond “until death” because “Aliens are demons, governments know it, Hollywood is revealing the plan, and every piece of evidence against this is part of the cover-up” feels like an ending in itself.

I wish I’d prioritized surrounding myself with scientifically literal people because regardless of their beliefs, we’d have a basis or foundation for meaningful conversation. I do not enjoy conversation with people whose world views require ignoring facts and relying on massive conspiracies.

The algorithm has nurtured echo chambers of conspiracies and wish-casted truths that bear little resemblance to reality. Those distortions need to be addressed before we are all walking around with AR glasses that further fragment our shared understanding of the world.

Social media poured fuel on every division and helped accelerate our downfall. It may eventually become part of a global collaborative solution, but today we would individually be better served by stepping away from it almost entirely.

tRump spent whatever was remaining of The United States’ goodwill and moral capital. Rebuilding that, if it’s possible at all, will take far longer than most of us will be alive to see. But we do have a role to play.

In 250 years, only 2 women have major party nominations for President. tRump beat both: first as a fraud, then as a twice-impeached convicted felon and insurrectionist. Yet he lost to an old stuttering man dragged out of retirement. America’s misogyny problem has a solution. Elect a woman in 2028.

I’m not at all religious, but I understand the importance of Easter to Christians. Seeing the religious right’s chosen one post this today of all days feels like a bit of an “I told you so” moment, but there truly is no bottom for his followers.

A predictor (99.9% accurate) sets out 2 boxes. Box A: $1,000 (visible) Box B: $1,000,000 or $0 Take: 1) Box B only 2) Both boxes If it predicted you’d take B only → $1M in B If it predicted both → B is empty. Prediction already made. Boxes filled. What’s your move?

I’m holding two thoughts on getting out of this mess. tRump would have to do something or a series of somethings so far beyond his current insane actions that most everyone would snap out of the cult and realize this was never about politics. But also I believe there to be no bottom to this pit.

Don’t put a label on yourself. It doesn’t matter if you’re fine with the definition because someone will always come along who has a different definition and they will judge you under it. You’re not a box. You’re a story unfolding. Make people curious. Make them ask.
