started writing a book because I wanted to create something, I started to love writing these characters, their stories, adventures, struggles, encounters. The world of Crossing is so dear to me, because Its what I always wanted in books, Alena brings the characters to life. Thank you! #crossing

I've had the joy to do quite a few commissions for @flipymod.bsky.social over the last months (years??) and this is one of them! These are Flipy's own characters, and boy is there a lot of story planned (and already written) about them. Much in store for those poor guys, I tell you.

á kids movie. a creator of a book series dies before finishing and a group of kids break into his home thinking there might be clues to the end of the story, but instead stumble into the fantasy world he created. there they need to finish the story or risk not just losing their fantasy world

rimworld should have a mod where you have a VERY large map. like 10000 tiles by 10000 tiles. you can't speed things up. everything runs on the normal speed. and thats it. but other characters might go there and start building their own town. you can see armies WEEKS ahead, so you can prepare. no

more INSTANT dead on your tiny colony. maybe flooding gets so bad that you need to move out. maybe a toxic smog moves in. but it would be fun to see such a style of gameplay. because maybe the towns are allies or maybe they're preparing. food can get scarse and you have to steal it from the other

towns. you can setup roads to these towns for faster movements. setup trading routes. i might actually go make a modded gameplay where I am just a trader with my tiny bots. love to see what happens?

the amount of spelling mistakes here because I wrote it after 4 AM in some slee deprived state.... ooff

whenever I talk with someone about writing and why its hard, I always remind them of the rule of three (although i recently learned this can mean a lot of things) but the rule of three I reference to is that for any story to be good, you need to have three sides at LEAST.

but I do see, with games and movies. that there are great writers out there. but I don't know if just writing well is what should make someone a great writer. its also knowing what ideas to put out, put out when, put out how. its the same with a lot of proffesional jobs, its not that DOING

it makes you good, its also how you put yourself through this insane toxic web of overthinkers and lazy CEo's now please go watch Wildwood, it might be the best animated show this millenia and we might never have such a movie ever again

scenario's. you neeeed to put limitations on yourself. hence the rule of three. its not ONLY there to make sure conflict feels real, but also to establish the sides for YOU, the writer and what you can and can;t do with them. you're still the writer, yu can still make batshit insane choices in your

stories. but one needs to realise that the hardest thing with writing, is doing it. and if you can't deliver what you promised with your characters and need to resort to cheap tricks or complete turns. then you didn't put enough restrictions on yourself to prevent such

of the MC. or else their whole point, is pointless. whats the point of getting to know the side characters if they're going to figure something new and then change course and make a decision that wasn't established with them? and this might soun weird, but it has to do with the limitations of

writing. ONCE you make such a move, you start to use it, or even misuse it. you start to give them decisions that what woould mainly turn to: their actions let them survive certain ordeals because the author likes them too much. things like a deus ex machina you NEED to prevent yourself from such

maybe to the character itself, to the reader and or to others in their vicinity. for a MC has that power. probbaly the only one that had that power. to use that revelation to turn it into an action. instead of establishing what they already are. and this is the hardest part in writing in general.

while you can expand a side, have it be given stories, choices. give it hundreds of characters. they cannot actually use their revelation to turn it into an action. it already needs to be an established fact they were going to do this. its only the MC that can drive them to do this, or the actions

and then comes the part thats the hardest. which side does your character take. are they tempted by the other side? do they make their OWN side. its hard for most writers do to that last part, because you WANT to have the freedom to do whatever you want. but you also don't want to affect the story

and how its been progressing. and the rule of three helps here because by having your character BE on a side, they can REALISE THIS. your character can REALISE that different choices COULD have been made, but they choose NOT to do it. and that awareness, that kind of clarity is called a revelation.

if you don't do this, then your side may not be a side, but instead it may be a point of view. a story progress tool, etc. and then you get closer to the rule of two. where there are two sides. black and white and maybe some gray there, but the gray part is shoved away anytime it affects either two

sides (star wars for example, star trek) probably the BEST rule of three use is in the percy jackson boos series. where you have the gods, the demigods and the monsters. each is quickly explained with the three points shown above and then expanded upon throughout the story.

and whats a side? its a group or person thats able to assertain and come to their own conclusions, FIGURE things out or is marginally invested into said event. the figuring out part is very important because if your side is not able to figure things out due to limitations or because, lore, is in

the way. like they're fed lies or are stubborn. you NEED to make this clear, but also have them face consequences for such actions. but you already have the three points to focus on and establish this side. setting up their own conclusions, figuring things out, invest in the invent.

the fact died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease and i've been experiencing the same symptons and doctors don't actually LOOK for it. i am going to push for a diagnosis on wednesday because this needs to make people more aware, this is crazy. how did he NOT get diagnosed????

I think this would be a much better solution to rs3 or even osrs relics. no more area limits. no more insane perfect paths. people actually DOING things. because resources are important so you gotta do a whole lot. there is even a fit for tasks, relics unlock tasks. so you

GET to do more taks, the more relics you make. the more tasks you complete, the more relics you unlock, the more tasks you unlock. you also don't get an instant view on all the task beforehand. so each new relic is a new platform unlocked.

to be powered by having them filled like urns. others by killing enemies, sometimes both. sometimes just by walking a lot. you have the choice to make the other relics as well, although you can only have one of each tier one. making combining it fun and rewarding. the making of relics does take

time so you can go do all of them. some relics can be combined in later tiers to make even better one. basicaly giving up the relic you made earlier. choices. the exp multiplier for the skills are however only unlocked if you MADE the relic, not if you charged it.

or maybe just one, but the point is, is that you need to strategize. no longer do you wait to level your skills, instead you need to do SOME progress to make it quicker. so you don't do one skill in one go, but keep switching. the idea behind this is, is that you still have tiers,

each tier gives you, like a workbench, better recepies for relics you can make from the drops and resources you have gathered so far. there are no region locks anymore and quests are not needed as well. instead the point of the leage is gathering items from bossing AND skilling. some relics need

the next plugin would be a slayer dialogue plugin. instead of it just saying "go and defeat X monsters" there is lore added to it. text that tells you "the bunnies of piscotaris are acting dangerous. we have to cull them before they may take over" with again, added limits WHERE you can kill

i think this would make rs3 slayer more interesting. during slayer you get these messages after doing X amount of killing to make it more cool. i think this as a plugin makes slayer a BIT more interesting if people want to roleplay more

i do think there is a limit for this quest making. possibly no placing monsters or extra strong monsters. but that could be a whole extra thing, like you can place an instance of a monster (like with the slayer piramide) and make it STRONGER for the quest fight. all with dialogue and more

no exp gain, no nothing. just a player quest. it would be rough and take a LONG time for the community to fix, but it would be really cool.

i imagine the style of the old arena where you can input limitations on the player and the plugin checks if you're still following it. just a fun way to do events. or organise events. the A, B, C, etc are also ways to do events for players.

would be really fun if rs3 could also do quests, where players can make their own little rs3 quests. don't know how the building would be, but that would be, for an MMORPG, INSANE. liek you can place characters, their dialogue trees. the X thing you need to bring or do.

player can set up gear as the reward for first, second, etc of their own stuff. and for ironman its just that you can see which challenge you won. challenges can be as simple as who's the first going from spot A to B then C, etc. fighting a boss with limitations

runescape needs a new challenge like Ironman was but a lot of people just go and think of "regionlocked" or UIM where you only have your inventory, no bank. but I think thats missing the point. sure if you die in one of these, your account is locked but one internet hickup and BAM its over.

like straight up you can't have any weapons on you anymore and you need to get that ability back. so no more instant loss, no, you can get back on the account with the network mistake. i think these limits should be a thing in 2027 and will bring in a lot of players as well.

Boss only? Slayer Only? even regionlocked. (which can be done by you going to said region and then blocking any way to go beyond it with added walls. but even simple limits like less bank space. no running. i think THIS is what can bring LIFE into RS3

we already see how in a mere two months you can get crazy levels, which is fine because in rs3 its the content you do that makes everything. but these limits are there to give you an exta challenge. like when you DIE, you need to pay X amount of coins to start fighting again

instead of region locking, you lock WHAT you can do. the new plugins can help with that. create a challenge where you are barred from doing certain things. and you need to LIMIT them somehow. or are barred from them entierly like UIM, ok, you can HAVE a bank, but you need to choose WHICH bank at

the start. you can still go to other regions, but you can't bank there or use any sort of loophole. the only way you can STORE your items is THAT bank. thats it. and these limits you settle when you first start the account and people can add these limits like adds to the plugin.
