Finally, at some point, after the mid-terms, maybe not until after a new Congress is safely seated, the New York Times will come out with a blockbuster report that Donald Trump has been wielding all of government to obstruct investigation into Epstein, because he committed sex crimes with him.

And in a 15 person byline blockbuster series of reports, the New York Times will report that, holy fuck, the president committed sex crimes with Jeffrey Epstein, that Russia has used this info to blackmail him into their control, and that the entirety of the US govt has been used to cover it up.

They won't pull the bandaid off until Trump's power has been deflated a bit after the mid-terms, and not until they convince themselves that Democrats and others haven't been just looking for a political advantage in all of this Epstein implication, that it's been more than just partisan attacks.

Then they'll look, truly look, & they will see, & they will realize that they shouldn't have left all the Trump-Epstein stuff as baked in rumor mill stuff that's been aired & beaten & become old news. Then they'll connect dots the size of beach balls & tie together threads as thick as freighter rope

They and the rest of the mainstream media are just so fucking scared to pull this bandaid off. It's like they let all the rumors of this very thing be swept aside as baseless, titillating conspiracy for so long that they feel ridiculous to take it seriously. The pull towards normalcy is too strong.

They've simply lacked the imagination that something this earth shatteringly scandalous could be real, & so shelved it and focused on the mundane stuff that happens with a more normal but still horrible president. Grift, ballrooms. Tariffs. Russian blackmail? Preposterous! Sex crime coverup? Come on

They will uncover, through an in-depth 15 person byline analysis, that Trump's connection with Russia is also related to Epstein. That Putin holds the same evidence against Trump that the Epstein files contain, & that both the Trump-Epstein scandal and the Trump-Russia scandal are the same scandal.

I don't understand how American journalists can go to sleep, knowing they're giving a pass on what should be the most astounding, bombshell news of their careers -- that the President of the United States was a co-rapist with Jeffrey Epstein, and that he is covering it up with the entirety of govt.

I know your post is about Americans' interests in other countries' elections, but putting your lack of self awareness aside for a min, can you grasp how a globally informed populace may feel a vested interest in the electoral affairs of other nations, in a reality where Trump can get elected twice?

It's going cost 100s of millions to tear down what he's constructed, & to repair what he's defaced, at the White House & in D.C. Oval Office, Rose Garden, ballroom, statues, Reflecting Pool, arch... Dems will be swayed (as they are) by criticism to not throw good taxpayer money after bad. Help them.

Here's an idea for the self-proclaimed good guy billionaires, millionaires & corporations sitting on the sidelines waiting out this administration: If you're looking for way to put down a marker as to which side you were on, when it's all over, establish & donate now to a de-Trumpification fund

As chilling as the Alaska certification lawsuit is, I take some comfort in how absolutely ham-fisted it is. The president's men are not smart people, and if America dodges a bullet between now and Jan 3, it's because neither this administration nor Elon Musk are capable of hiring capable henchmen.
