It was nice seeing people playing the board game wot I made. And the mechanics seems to have worked quite well. Once they had the jist of it, I could leave them to play and then run a winking cat game at the same time

In the 34th century we are able to communicate instantly across the galactic disk. But in the 21st century they were incapable of activating a broadband line some ten days beyond the promised install date even when the Optical Network Terminal is showing all green and just needs a database update.

Not particularly controversial on this site to say this, but both Canonn and GEC automatic posts to twitter have now stopped working and I'm glad. `tweepy.errors.HTTPException: 402 Payment Required Your enrolled account [153****************] does not have any credits to fulfill this request.`

Coming soon to the Canonn signals page! I'm so chuffed about this. While commander DarkSession got it started I was glad that my years of experience with collison data were instrumental in getting it to match the dates!

This is an interesting example of extreme banding of a ring. It looks like it is a fraction of the radius of the body but it in fact double the radius. Only about 1000km of its 10,000km extent is visible. So this is an example of a Taylor Ring that is undetectable from the journal. #EliteDangerous

Contrary to 21st Century scientific theory, all parts of the ring have the same orbital period. The speed is derived from a radius based on (outer radius - inner radius)/e to which we can apply Kepler's Third law to get the orbital period. Consequently different rings move at different speeds.
