there are a million and one popular book series i have 0 interest in because i read enough to know MY preferences. i do not have the energy for people who talk shit about books just because they're popular with women.

to be clear, sometimes it is not obvious that's what the root critique is. i believe you also are undermining women authors when you are talking these books as "low reading" level books.

there ARE valid critiques of these books. also some people are just being weirdos about them and the people who they believe read those books
