Thank you to everyone who showed up for the rally in front of City Hall today! Our team was incredibly happy to see the outpouring of support for Forest Park. The fight to defend Forest Park and prevent the cutting of 4.7 acres of trees is far from over, and we can win with your help.

Altogether, 55 volunteers joined us in Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park. These volunteers pulled about 6k sq. feet of invasive English ivy and saved 22 trees from ivy! Additionally, thank you to KEEN for sponsoring our NLPD events and Voodoo Donuts for providing donuts for our volunteers!

A hearing on PGE's reapplication, the previous version of which was appealed 12-0 by City Council, has been scheduled for October 14th. If approved, this would give PGE the go-ahead to remove 4.7 acres of trees from Forest Park, among other ecological harms.

National Public Lands Day is less than a month away! To celebrate our favorite parks, we will be hosting volunteer work parties in Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park on National Public Lands Day (Saturday, September 26th) to remove invasive English ivy from our forests. 1/2

if you haven't done trail work before - I strongly recommend it!!! the forest park conservancy is responsible for our trails being beautiful around Portland. All it takes is a single outing on unmaintained trails to viscerally feel how much is lost when trail work falls to the wayside

We love to see dogs (and their humans) enjoying the parks and the great spring weather. However, off-leash dogs continue to be one of the top-reported park issues every spring. Please leash your dogs before hitting the trails! It helps keep everyone safe and protects our local ecosystems.
