One of those wealthy donors organized a voter registration drive *under the pretense of a fake lottery* on behalf of the candidate who *tried to steal a presidential election* and instead of seeing articles about that, I'm seeing ones about how Kamala Harris should have been on more Gen Z podcasts.
the trump campaign was literally bought and paid for by the wealthiest people on the planet — openly! — and dim-witted pundits are going on about how voters are tired of "elitist democrats"
NYT leaned (very) heavily into op-ed culture ten years ago which worked to demolish their reputation for unbiased journalism. Four years of anti-Trump essays sold lots of subscriptions, but the result is that half of the country now thinks "journalism" is using big words to dunk on the opposition.

So far, Bsky feels like watching one of those amoeba evolution games play out in realtime.
a notorious transphobic blogger/internet personality joined, a bunch of trans people told him to fuck off, one of those trans people who said some things about bashing him with hammers was banned. just kind of a minority group's defense mechanisms clashing with civility culture
You are up to date.
