It’s Caturday. Still recovering from the latest surgery. Not doing as well as I’d hoped. I’m trying to come to terms with the idea that I’m not going to have much use of my right hand going forward. 🙁

2/2 Instead of making women have to hide a completely normal biological function, how about we educate stupid males that it’s not something shameful or embarrassing. So stupid.

1/2 So, for the years my daughter has worked at her current retail job, there has been a basket of feminine products in the Unisex bathroom (their only bathroom). Apparently some males are ‘uncomfortable’ with this, so it’s no longer allowed. Unbelievable.

So, I’d really like to get up and get migraine meds, but…

Vet says his CKD is a bit worse, and he should only have his kidney diet and nothing else. He is 17 years old, and I think life has to be balanced a bit. If that means an occasional treat that isn’t good for him, then so be it.

New to us cat tree (mom’s cat is too old to use it anymore). I think she approves.

Today marks 1 year since my dad passed. Tough day. Worse for my mom. ☹️

Woohoo! Finally! They are late this year.

PT twice a week sucks, especially since regaining the use of my hand is taking forever and I’m in pain 24/7. ☹️ Been spending a lot of time with these two.

This rain is ridiculous. The smallish stream in my backyard has turned into a lake.

Finally got a warm enough day to open up the house. 😁

Got the last of my stitches out. PT is grueling, but I know it’s an important part of the process. Concentrate on the nicer things. Like cats. 😊

Finally! Surgery tomorrow morning. I know it’s going to take a while for the recovery but at least we are moving towards it. This has been a terribly long and painful process. So today I’m hanging out with these two.

Finally getting somewhere with my arm/hand. Waiting for a call from the surgery scheduler, but of course I have to wait for pre-approval from the insurance company. In the meantime, here’s a butterfly from last summer.

Woke up this morning and saw a text from my friend who texts every morning. Except it wasn’t from her. It was a message from her daughter that she had passed away last night, without warning. I can’t wrap my head around it. Hug your loved ones. RIP Bonnie. ❤️

Been driving around in ridiculous weather for doctor appointments. Hand surgeon did a Cortizone shot today that is already helping. Have to go back Friday for an EMG. I can’t wait until I can stop hyperventilating over riding on these horrible, icy roads.

Life sucks right now. Waited 3 weeks for an MRI of my hand. Did that Tuesday. Excruciating. Got a call yesterday morning to come back for more. Did that. Got another call this morning. Now I need an x-ray which no one told me about. I’m never going to get fixed. 😭 Thank goodness for these two.

She is fascinated with Star Trek. lol

Is it Spring yet? Sigh. Still more than a week until my MRI, and I’m just not in a good place. 🙁 Fortunately I have one of these to help me feel a bit better.

Since the Jeep was totaled, we didn’t have any way to get a Christmas tree home (plus, we spent a fair amount of time hurting and not feeling well). My husband presented me with this today. lol

Lovely. It appears I have ruptured several tendons in my right hand, most probably related to the recent car crash. I need an MRI but I can’t get in until 1-13. 😢 At least I got to bring my mom and MIL to see the Christmas Light show.

I should have known better than to get up. 😝

So, this year is shaping up to be a doozy. Healing from the sternum fracture I’ve managed to totally eff up my right wrist. Wearing a sling, my thumb is not working right and I’m waiting for an appointment with a hand surgeon. 😢 Time for a cat picture.

Went to an outdoor Christmas market tonight. I really needed that. 😄

Finally starting to feel a bit better after the accident. So here, have a cat picture. lol

Hubby went to see the car finally. I guess I’m glad I only broke my sternum. Scary as heck.

Home from the hospital. This diminishes the pain more than the pain meds. 😄

Well, today didn’t go as planned. Hubby came to see me and take me to dinner as I have been gone for almost 2 weeks. Headed back to drop me at my son’s place and some asshole ran a red light and hit us. I have a cracked sternum and am now stuck in the hospital and it hurts to even breathe.🙁

Two more days and I will get to go home and hug this cutie. I am exhausted and I just want to sleep in my own bed and have everything where I like it.

What an insane week. My son and daughter are both out of the country. I am floating between houses, caring for four cats, including the paraplegic kitten. Huge amount of work. This one is Zoey.

Since I’m away from home cat sitting my daughter’s cat, I guess he gets the spotlight for Caturday.

Chilling with the kitties this evening. My daughter is flying to the UK tomorrow and I’ll be house sitting for her, so I will miss them a lot.
