Forgotten Figures

GI Joe picture of the day: On the (dino) hunt. Featuring Ambush and Low-Light (both 1993).

Thoughts on the new Super7 SNAKE Armor -I like it overall -More sturdy and articulated than the vintage -Articulation still isn’t great -Under detailed in spots -Big, solid, comes with a ton of stuff -Can hoist a guy easily with its claw -Fun to play with and look at

Blue Sky has five kinds of users

I'm going to be hyper critical of this one...just because it's Flint. But, I'm liking what I'm seeing, so far. It looks like they really nailed the shotgun, too. Hasbro failed on that every time after 1988. #GIJoe

The Toxo-Viper has my favourite vintage filecard. It tells the story of an evil organization willing to sacrifice the health of its employees to save costs on safety equipment. And people say G.I. JOE is outdated.

GIJOE 1992 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalog

A look back at the 1991 Zap: forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/2003/10/1991... Some of the original 13 characters got amazing upgrades as the line went on. Zap was one of them. #GIJoe

A look back at the 1983 Ace: forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/2007/10/1983... As a kid, my first use for him was as an astronaut. Kind of a precursor to Star Brigade. #GIJoe

The Attica Gazette looks at the 2018 Blackout: atticagazette.wordpress.com/2026/10/23/2... How many people even remember this figure exists? #GIJoe

A new profile looking at the Brazilian Vibora figure: forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/2026/10/vibo... He's pretty much a Python Cobra Officer. But, he has some different color shades. #GIJoe

Ever wonder how many Star Wars: The Retro Collection action figures include blasters? I did. Some figures have lightsabers, some have pikes or spears... most have guns. I made a list at The Retro Collection Dump, aka the best 1996-core web page on the topic. galactichunter.com/retro/figure...

After getting fired from Cobra, the Fatal Foodies found gainful employment with the Foot clan.

GI Joe picture of the day: Even without his machine gun, Roadblock is still more than they can handle. Featuring Double Blast (2001) and Cobra Infantry (2004).

Comic Book 3-Pack - Scarlett, Snake Eyes & Tracker Kwinn i've had my eye on this for some time and i finally found one at a decent price. #GIJOE

A look back at the 2010 Convention Flint: forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/2016/10/2010... It's unfortunate that this is one of the few brightly colored figures from the repaint era. #GIJoe

Ew, that's AI at the Hasbro Transformers booth...

Chinese Toxo Zombie. Figure is same as U.S. release. Cardback is very different. #GIJoe

Pimp Mama Baroness from Ladyjayetoys is my new favorite. Bring on the absurd colorways, I am the target audience for this sort of thing.

A look back at the 1988 Repeater: forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/2013/10/1988... He's one of those lunch pail figures that defines the Joe line. #GIJoe

GI Joe picture of the day: The Rage (1997) with Interrogator (1991), Firefly (Urban Strike 2004), and WORMS (Black Major 2021). These figures are from very different years but they all mesh remarkably well.

This rocks. A ReAction that is worth the asking price. Quite limited in motion, of course, but what a dream that it’s a fully realized figure and you get that rocky disguise from the cartoon. I love it.

I’m not a “Toy Guy” but I needed something for all my Star Wars toys and this was only $15 so I had to get it.

Too many arctic figures. It's overdone by now. Guessing we'll see a regular Firefly and Stormshadow before the chrome versions come out.

GI Joe picture of the day: Omen's perfect ambush is ruined by the mix of revulsion and fear he feels as the eerie red figure passes by the window. Featuring Omen (Legends of the Hidden Force 2026) and General Mortifero (Operation Recall 2026).

The 2003 Inferno BAT: forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/2015/10/2003... He wasn't popular upon his release. But, this guy has aged pretty well. #GIJoe

Big Ben Vs. Alley Viper (2002)

A look back at the 2004 Cobra Squad Leader: forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/2005/10/2004... This guy should have just been Scarface. #GIJoe

"We could save him..." "Yeah, we could.” “Or we could just...not." GI Joe picture of the day for #CobraSunday featuring Cobra Commander (ReAction+ 2026), T’Jbang (1992), and Night Creepers (1993).

Nothing beats the feeling of going to the store on a whim and scoring! They didn't have any Destros but Quick Kick is the one I like more anyway. I've never had his original figure but now he's a badass American ninja! This guy gets the patriotic theming across better than the ones that are trying.

I found some old content on the 2004 Tracker Kwinn figure: forgotten--figures.blogspot.com/2026/10/2004... Check it out! #GIJoe

GI Joe picture of the day: Cobra Combat Engineers arrive by helicopter. Inspired by the sapper who landed on the roof of the mobile HQ with a FANG in Comic issue 19! Featuring a FANG (my childhood mail-order version; you can tell by how discolored the gun ball is) and Gas Mask Troopers (2006).

tuff dudes. #GIJoe

Still don't know why these are trickling out so slowly after showing up 2 months ago. #GIJoe

After you meticulously clean, change out old o-rings and pray that no plastic has broken since the last time you handled them, remember to take your toys outside and take crummy pictures of them in the rain.

my minty after recall 1993 Roadblock is now complete. #GIJoe

GI Joe picture of the day: Time to find out how well the ceremonial sword actually works...

"You brought the old gal back in one piece this time, Lieutenant. Nice work."
