I think it's pretty clear the war had to happen today because various windows are closing on the ability for Trump's 'team' to operate free of consqeuence; Kushner in Saudi & Israel specifically I wouldn't be surprised if the health reports about him are getting really bad internally.

exceptionally funny that the first air-to-air kill for the AIM-9 Sidewinder missile was scored against an opponent that didn't even know the assailant _had_ missiles and was under the impression they were out of range of guns some nominative determinism there

the omens on the wind are telling me that I need to have a more nuanced thought about people getting into relationships with chatbots than I've yet read, and I think I've successfully concocted something that will annoy both sides of the argument, which is all anyone can ask for:

so; if you make a machine that can reliably induce these positive feelings of abstracted social reaction, you can make someone fall in love with an abstract formless algorithm about as reliably as someone can on online dating apps, except they're hyperreal and not subject to the same limitations

sitting around, tapping bit on screen and feeling vibration aspect of life; they're used to you looking mans in the eye and also looking at their posture and their demeanour and thinking about your social ties with them and how they smell to understand whether you gotta run a mile or hug it out

because we've abstracted social relations to digital interactions, and because the brain is adaptive and clever, we've together hypnotised monkey brain into accepting positive feelings from internet interactions (often) in place of normal human social signs

what's happening here is _postmodernism_ or I guess, more accurately, Baudrillardian simulacras coming back to bite us in the ass, combined with the weird evolutionary neural soup we entirely rely upon to function. "fox, are you on drugs" yes; but hear me out

communication, friendship and companionship has been completely abstracted since fucking usenet started. however, only recently has that been the _default_ state of human interaction, for most people, most of the time. our like, social functioning monkey brains, they don't really get this whole

look, liberals, I think it's time you drop the hypocrisy angle for MAGA clowns. it's been decades, it makes no difference, you need to start to understand that they just don't care. they don't feel hypocritical, because they genuinely don't believe people are entitled to equal treatment.

it's incredible how adorable they made skarbrand in his character portrait lookit 'im, he's just a lil (20ft tall) guy (demon responsible for uncountable billions of gory and horrific deaths since the dawn of time) #totalwar #warhammerfantasy

what's gonna be your unreasonable funeral request that you won't live to see fulfilled but secretly hope for anyway? mine is that a group of four people will play The Last Post on kazoos as they turn on the Body Reduction Achiever X4 or whatever they got going on in the 2070s

every now and again, despite my constant devestating use of the ability, I forget the fact that Cassia is walking around with a fucking nuclear weapon attached to her head that could go off if she like sneezes wrong or chokes on some food or whatever

bro they have a log report about how a typo in the planetary object records ID means a guy has to pay 3,000 years of back taxes in 50 years or have his entire planet turned into human printers

so you're telling me, the Israelis were able to identify and murder almost the entirety of Iran's top brass in a single day, in a completely different country, but have been unable to locate a few dozen hostages inside Gaza, an area of 142 square miles, for 21 months? I don't believe them.

I've been kind of back and forth about mentioning anything about the PalAction proscription, but I kinda have to because of how little sense the entire thing makes to me for context, a pro-Palestine direct action group called Palestine Action was recently proscribed by the UK government as

alas, despite this apparently super rare insight, UK parliament has voted to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation, meaning anyone who 'expresses an opinion or belief that is supportive' is liable to be charged under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000

> endangering a person's life (other than that of the person committing the action); creating a serious risk to the health or safety of the public or a section of the public pretty trivial to rebut these definitions; no one was endangered and no one in the public suffered any risk because of this

> action designed to seriously interfere with or seriously to disrupt an electronic system. mebbe the lawyers could get spicy here, but I really struggle to contend with the idea that a bit of paintthat apparently didn't even impact the vehicles flight schedule constitutes a 'serious interfere'nce

> serious violence against a person uh, nope. not unless you count the side of a jet as a person and the spraying of paint as serious violence you shouldn't, that would be a bizarre misconstruing of language, jsyk

> serious damage to property this is closer to what might have happened; but from what I can see online the jet was flying again less than 24 hours later..? www.thenational.scot/news/2528463... hard to argue it was 'serious damage' if it was literally flyable the next fucking day lmao

thenational.scotPlane damaged by Palestine Action spotted flying over ScotlandA PLANE damaged by Palestine Action activists during a break-in at an RAF base is back in action.

they did this because, as far as I can tell from people online (lol), the UK military has been materially aiding Israel while they commit genocide in Gaza by allowing them to use airstrips in Cyprus for their jets (in between vaporising toddlers) and also help provide intel and fuel to the IDF

a terrorist organisation. the UK govt. did this in response to a recent protest where members of PA sneaked into RAF Brize Norton on _fucking electric scooters lmao_ and went to town with a couple of spraypaint cans on a jet waiting out there on the 'mac
