Your timeline has been blessed by the raven of Friday Fortune, wishing for you the best of weekends.

Was super lucky to run into a birder when we released Stiltchild & Co, who shared some amazing pics of his first big flight as he joined the wild cranes. Fair winds & clear skies, kiddos, I hope you have many years of grand adventures before you. Many thanks to Lucas Ince for beautiful photos!

Appa the highland cow is often left to be the babysitter for a sploot of napping yak babies, but she never seems to mind the job.

Today’s patient rolled up in the back of a squad car. Teen owl: Bad decisions. A kind local conservation officer helped this kid out and decided not to file charges despite much disorderly conduct. Hopefully this kid will avoid the streets in the future, they're a dangerous place to mouse!

Stiltchild & Friends are ready for freedom! With the arrival of much cooler weather, the orphaned crane colts seem to be feeling the restless pull of migration. We are scouting daily for local, gathering cranes. As soon as we can find a group, our kids will get their true second chance! 🪶

Walked out to check on the herd and found the donkeys fully staffed with chicken jockeys.

The geese always seem have the expression of someone about to write a strongly worded email. 🪶

Stepping up for science… and snacks. Our ravens, Yami and Moku, were too eager to get on the scale one at a time. Daily checks are an important part of the care of all of our ambassadors, but for the ravens they're just eager to grab a treat and get back to mischief! 🪶

Today’s wildlife rehab loot box contained: • 1 mildly offended juvenile eagle He’s here for emergency care after a car strike, but he would like to file a formal complaint about the Uber ride, packaging, delivery, and bedside manner. One star to all. 🪶

Peacock loafs, of the pied variety.

I dont have all my ducks in a row, but my cranes sure are. 🪶

I just did an entire zoom meeting with crane food in my hair. Because some tiny tyrant flung his breakfast dish in outrage since he now only likes a very specific texture of crane crumbles. Broken leg/surgery child is now the crane of 10,000 opinions. #wildliferehab

Working on our last pin unlock now: Loon! As Minnesotans, this one means a lot to us. A symbol of home, resilience, & neighbors (human & wild) we care for and protect. A little love letter to everyone who keeps showing up for each other, thank you. 👉 Check Our Progress: tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8

Conure fact: if it exists, they can turn it to confetti. Paper? Confetti. Shoelaces? Confetti. Your sanity? Also confetti. Do you also live with a feathered gremlin who loves making “art projects” out of your belongings? Share your conure crimes! Get your own parrot pins: 👉 tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8

I love the sounds baby cranes make. It takes 2-5 years for young sandhills to grow the 2-3ft long bony coils of trachea (which grow literally into the bones of their thick, shield-like keels) to make the loud, trumpeting calls of their parents. They literally become organic French horns inside! 🪶

Aplomado Falcons: They form duos specifically to commit speed crimes together. Think: Bonnie & Clyde but feathered. (Actual fact: they literally tag‑team prey at high velocity like tiny aerial criminals.) We're 97% of the way to unlocking this falcon pin! tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8 #sciart #art 🪶

🔒JAILBIRD! 🪶 Great Hornbills have one of the strangest nesting strategies in the bird world: it imprisons the mom. The female cements herself inside a tree cavity for *months*, with only a tiny slit open for the male to feed her & chicks through. See all the birds: tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8 #sciart

🎉 Osprey is unlocked!! 🎉

Does anyone else love these amazing, be-mohawked stinkturkeys as much as I do? I was lucky enough to see them in the wild and could absolutely smell them before we spotted them. Hoatzin ❤️ 🪶 tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8 #sciart

Jump for joy! The new crane aviary is complete, which means lots of hoppy flapping, dancing, and exploring as the babies got to explore their new digs. They've got lots more space now to build up muscles for the long migration to come. 🪶 #wildliferehab

Did you guess? We love vultures! We’re celebrating completion of all 23 species of the best birds for our Visionary Vultures collection. 🎨 Our art campaign is LIVE for a limited time, with 19 new designs. Come meet the whole flock! tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8 #InternationalVultureAwarenessDay

It's Vulture Day! 🍾 We are celebrating with all 23 vulture species now represented in art pin form! This milestone is a tribute to the beauty, diversity, and importance of vultures worldwide. Grab your favorite & show it off: tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8 #InternationalVultureAwarenessDay #IVAD

Calling all osprey fans!🐟🦅 We’re 94% of the way to unlock our Osprey as the next pin choice! 🎉 This has been one of our most requested designs for years; if you want to wear this beautiful fish-stealing menace, just a bit more support and it'll officially join the flock! ➡️ tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8

It's been a flood of crane babies this year, so I had to sketch them & turn our tiny patients into tiny stickers. These cute colts just unlocked as a campaign stretch goal, which means this adorable little sticker sheet is now FREE! 🎉 🪶 Join the flock: tinyurl.com/v5sry3m8 #sciart #wildliferehab
