Growing Towards The Light, a new mini album I’ve been steadily working on since the completion of Home Truths, is out today. Bandcamp only for the time being, the full album is available to stream/download now: francarlyon.bandcamp.com/album/growin...

Delighted to receive this gorgeous CD from my friends at @yyzrecords.bsky.social today 🤍 The Lost Guests are doing something very special, don’t miss out: yyzrecords.bandcamp.com/album/endles...

Very small beer, I know, but if you buy your CD of @lostguests.bsky.social's ENDLESSLY ON THE WAY this morning (should you happen to want one) you'll find your name pops up on the folded insert, alongside other early purchasers! If you don't, you won't! 12 copies left at the mo!

There is more SHOPFIRES music on the way. But for now, while stocks last, get your hands and ears on the latest limited edition 7" single. @yyzrecords.bsky.social

Under The Dirty City Stars is about freedom, and how despite an increasingly digitally manipulated world, something real will always find a way: youtu.be/RgHRPIQ0pYs?...

I’ve been reconnecting with The Comsat Angels of late, and it’s led to me rediscovering Stephen Fellow’s little known solo album Slow Glass, released in 2020. It’s an absolute gem, you can thank me later: stephenfellows.bandcamp.com/album/slow-g...

Thank you @midweekmusings.bsky.social for spinning Under The Dirty City Stars, just in time for the video drop…

Lovely hypnotic vibes in sound and vision. Wonderful stuff from @francarlyon.bandcamp.com

Friends and fellow lofi electronica enthusiasts, the video for Growing Towards The Light’s penultimate track Under The Dirty City Stars is out now. Fractured light and fluid limbs…

Still a few copies left if you want one. Not only the first SHOPFIRES vinyl release, but the first to be mastered to pop perfection by Ben Holton @waysideandwoodlandrecordings.bandcamp.com @yyzrecords.bsky.social yyzrecords.bandcamp.com/album/undera...

Contemplative, slightly domestic, and quietly measured — full of half-drawn curtains, steady horizons, and rooms left for the next field. Perfect for dusk listening, fields walked at tape speed, or sitting still while the next spool still waits.

For a short time only. I've posted a live demo version of a song I've wanted to write since my dad passed away a couple of years ago. A natural born crooner who would often forget the lyrics to the songs he sang. youtu.be/W902efziAcM?...

A very sweet ‘mixtape’ from Fran covering the influences behind his equally sweet new mini album:

I wrote about some of the key influences and inspirations behind my new mini album Growing Towards The Light. A hypothetical mixtape of sorts: heavymetalkids.music.blog/2026/09/28/w...

Undeniably short, undeniably beautiful ✨️

Growing Towards The Light, eight home recorded meditations on nature, out now: francarlyon.bandcamp.com/album/growin...

I absolutely adore Fran’s latest mini album and this track in particular manages to combine both those folk and electronic leanings into a unique off-kilter beauty. Highly recommend:

If solace is what you require then Fran is your man ✨️

New video by @francarlyon.bandcamp.com 👌👍👏👏👏 youtube.com/watch?v=WARA...

Escape was written in the midst of the UK council elections earlier this year. The insufferable noise of the rising far right was everywhere, and I found myself increasingly looking for ways to escape the chaos and preserve my mental health, whilst staying engaged and empowered…

This is OUT NOW: the magnificent new double A-side vinyl debut of @shopfiresmusic.bsky.social. You can hear the deeply lovely first song now, and buy it obviously! The gauzy, light-dappled sound of these songs, coupled with their emotional currency, move me so much. Proud to be involved!

Out Now: Underachievers - the glorious new single from @shopfiresmusic.bsky.social and pre-order for its very limited 7” 🎆 lovingly mastered by the amazing Ben Holton @waysideandwoodlandrecordings.bandcamp.com

Huge thanks to @janglepophub.bsky.social for including Nowhere in their latest Beat The Delete…

Cue the first of a few enigmatic stills from the new @shopfiresmusic.bsky.social video, which will be released alongside the single on YYZ this Friday. If you can’t already tell, we’re super excited.
