The macOS built-in curl, git, pip, python3, perl, ruby, and openssl all read /etc/ssl/cert.pem, which still has the emSign root, but they don't check revocation like Apple's Secure Transport libraries. This is, uh, a problem. git and pip especially. I added a short-term workaround to this page.

I had to read the sentence "Astonishingly, the private keys were 4, 56, 66, 115, 155, 156, 230, 237" several times, because despite knowing @dangoodin.bsky.social superior attention to detail, my brain was *certain* that could not be correct.

Security personnel around the world are on high alert following the discovery of eight TLS certificates with private keys so weak they could allow anyone to mint trusted browser and app credentials for any site on the Internet. arstechnica.com/security/202...

🚨 Rapid Response: Critical AnyDesk Linux RCE (CVE-2026-109390, CVSS 9.8). Public exploit available. Censys detects 175,838 Internet-exposed AnyDesk hosts on TCP 7070 (not confirmed vulnerable). Censys ARC advisory: https://bit.ly/47jqCEh

A *new* SAML RCE for Citrix is out. The new vulnerability (CVE-2026-107406) is only applicable if you're running your NetScaler deployment as a SAML *Identity Provider*. If you’re using Citrix as a service provider & patched last weekend you’re ok. Surely the madness will stop someday. Right?

"The requirements for future development also mention adding the ability to check which users are connected to specific mobile base stations in order to support location triangulation through these stations and detect when a large number of people congregate in a particular area"

I encourage cybersecurity professionals to read this report to understand the type of capabilities that can be deployed against citizens at scale by autocratic regimes. Organizations designing products that support privacy should understand these capabilities and design to protect users from them.
