Whatever the GOP Health Plan is, it’s going to involve the usual GOP concept of “people making their own choices” which is just a way of limiting how much they get. eg if you cover one’s surgery they can get it no matter the (reasonable) cost, if you give them $2K & it costs $4K, oh well

I’m not really an advocate for social medicine (despite being a democrat in 2025) but in a civilized society certain things should be a right rather than a privilege. In a country as wealthy as ours, no one should go hungry, lack shelter, or be unable to get necessary medical care.
