Er .. it was only three years ago that a Prime Minister was brought down by his own Cabinet for consistent lying, lies his Ministers couldn't defend anymore. Guess that doesn't happen in today's America?

@jen taub. I live in a city that maintains alms houses that slave merchants built to buy themselves a ticket into heaven. Locals thought to chuck a statue being remembered for being a slave trader into the harbour. Elon cut USAID, a GOP recent bill cuts UNICEF (see Tim Miller). WTF, USA?

This: The hyperbole is Donald's own fault. Guess he wanted his Obama moment. And he didn't get it, just like his parade. The fact he has to sh*t on his own DNI and send out his own appointed weekend show-host to berate a renowned Fox colleague was so predictable.

The idea to tear down, because it's not working (borrowed from populists everywhere and any time) is now brought to you in full Technicolor by Donald. And his full Cabinet of Weirdos. Er ... yours is an idea in progress, right. Going for a 'more perfect (sic) union'. Er .....

Q: Has anyone ever explained the virtues of immigration? Especially the positives in this day and age. I lived through Brexit, which was a disaster. And made a horrible situation for politicians to get into another 1930s situation.

14 June happens to be the birthday of one of the most eclectic, influential and stylish people I know. Modest but fabulous: Raja Pride Month, people. Let's go!

I grew up in the 70s with America being a melting-pot. I clearly remember this cartoon: immigrants in> Americans out. What the f happened. Overall all administrations left people behind, so ... blaming immigrants? You're all immigrants.

... I don't understand why entering into trade talks with a demonstrably untrustworthy and unstable US regime takes precedence over mending fences with the EU. One huge sore complicated point for co-operation with the EU or even re-joining is trust: would the EU take the UK back.

This UK government should take advantage of the unity vibe across the European continent and actively open talks to get closer to the EU and its massive market on its doorstep. If not, to rejoin the EU...

..That said, elbows up, more power to your elbow. It's easier for Canada to become part of EU than the UK right now: maybe you can help us ease in again? Unimaginable thoughts? Donald has them.

... Re Bernie: he's shouted about for years what we in Europe have enjoyed for years: holiday leave, maternal/paternal leave, universal healthcare, minimum wage. I understand why he remains an independent. As a leftie in Europe I support him: to be like him is not progressive, it's normal

Just listened to a Sarah Longwell Focus group - with Dems. Overall thought: get up every Dem's ass and get them to get out there. And DO something. That Bernie (independent) at 84 is out there and gets huge crowds should tell you something.

.. As Michael Lewis said (paraphrased) because Donald's such a F%$king liar himself, he thrives on undermining trust everywhere else. And he is succeeding, as well as he is in market manipulation. Remove this man before even the MAGA folk get the pitch forks out.

...This man has managed to demolish trust in every which way globally, by aligning himself to Russia, betraying Ukraine and NATO, talking b*llocks about annexing Canada, Greenland and Panama, and now tanking trust in being able to run the US economy responsibly....

Christ on a bike. He's not paused anything. 125% on China, 10% on everyone else, 25% on steel aluminium and cars and don't forget upcoming tariffs on pharmaceuticals! Wayhay!...

Before everyone screeches 'Socialism', Bernie has been advocating policies other western democratic societies have implemented for years. Why JD hates them: he's hung on to some internet play group, an illiterate. Real world: he is an ass.
