Today’s been 40 years since Pixar Animation Studios has been officially formed. The studio that fully brought CGI to life and kept being one of the best with it, made fantastic stories & characters, and we all know & love it.

#Oscars2026 Okay, now that all three of the major awards, Critic’s Choice, Golden Globe, & Academy/Oscar, have nominated their films for 2025 movies, the awards season is officially a-go! Here are all the films and shorts nominated for either award I have yet to see as of today.

Ten years ago today, The Peanuts Movie was released. A very honorable and charming tribute to the comic strip created by Charles Schulz, this film from Blue Sky is such a delight featuring its pretty unique animation, simple story, and the cast of timeless characters.

Fifteen years ago today, Megamind was released. A hilarious cult classic from DreamWorks, this film about a supervillain who somehow defeats the hero is a pretty fun spin on superhero flicks thanks to its hilarious comedy, witty story, and a slew of memorable characters.
