EXC - The £5m gift to Nigel Farage by a cryptocurrency billionaire was reported to the National Crime Agency by bankers who were concerned it may have been laundered money, the Guardian can reveal. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Anti-progress. Too many politicians with too many ideas.

In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services. Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt. While Norway still owns everything and has the equivalent of £10tn. That's how privatisation 'works'.

The formidable oak near my home is still holding on. A few years ago the sudden snowfall we had weighed too heavily on its branches. Obviously weak with age or disease it could take it and split in half. It's still with us though.

Ross-on-Wye, bathed in beautiful sunshine today. What a glorious place we live in. Free yoga at the bandstand this AM, followed by the Drybrook brass band playing glorious music at the same place this PM. Ross-on-Wye is a marvellous destination.

Himalayan Balsam on a brook leading into the River Wye. The farmer could pull it out, but either they can't be arsed or they're totally ignorant. This is on Duchy of Cornwall land. Shame.

Could be record breaking high temperatures for many parts of the UK this week, so don't forget the wildlife. A paint roller tray is an ideal water station for them.

As a kid in the 80s I used to swim here with my mates. The water was crystal clear and ranunculus was everywhere. The River Wye is now a brownish colour and not any ranunculus at all. You could even see the pebbles beneath the water. How have we let this happen?
