1)I read something the other day that suggested the rise of maga and reform/restore ect here in the uk, is down to a population that didn't try at school, didn't do anything to improve their situation and generally failed at life, was the perfect target for populist politics that laid the blame...

3)...that has been selling eclipse glasses for the last few weeks, had a massive queue at 8:30 this morning and people taking to local social media complaining about being unable to buy any, blaming the shop, blaming everyone but themselves. If I took a poll of voting intentions from those people...

4)...in that queue of people who, knowing the eclipse was happening in the coming week/days didn't think it would be a good idea to plan ahead and get some glasses but rather leave it to the last minute and then blame someone else when they couldn't get any. What the result of that poll would be??

2)..on immigrants/gays/people of other religions or colours/teachers and people with a higher education and "lefties", for their own failings in life. Here in the UK we have a partial eclipse this evening. Its been common knowledge it's happening for ages yet this morning the toy shop in town...

Most evenings I watch the sun go down. In spring the sunset moves from the left to the hill setting behind it in early summer then past it to set again behind it in early August. It's a sign the summer coming to a end. Enjoy the rest of summer my friends:-)

See the freedom of speech, get arrested for saying hurry words on the internet these days, crowd are losing their shit over a t-shirt today. Dry your eyes mate, it's just a lyric from a old song FFS.

1) The moral of the story may change. When my son was just starting school I told him a story of a boy I knew when I was his age, it went like this, When I was the same age as you, I noticed a boy who every playtime would stand by the gate looking at the road, I asked him what he was doing...

3)...and the driver asked if I was lost and needed a lift. I recognised the man, it was the boy I went to primary school with, the boy who looked out for tractors. He became known as "the farmer" in our house, a example not to give up on your dreams and that goals can be achieved. Yesterday....

4)... I was with my son (now 24) and I noticed a guy I thought I recognised, my son asked if I knew him and I replied "I think it's the farmer". After some encouragement I went over and said hello, it was "the farmer" of course I asked him how it was going and was he still farming. He replied no...

2)...and he replied that he was looking out for tractors and when he was a grown up he was going to be a tractor driver. Many years later I got lost on a countryside walk and separated from friends, walking up a lane I heard a tractor coming up behind me. The tractor stopped and the cab door...

Festival season approaches, so this feels appropriate.

Love this. Dance is certainly one of the highest forms of human expression. And, from a humanist perspective, an evolutionary phenomenon. Human beings – from ancestral drums to drum and bass - have, and always will, dance. A wondrous and cathartic activity shared across all nations and all cultures.

1)Went to a nearby village fete today, on the way I noticed a church and remembered my old friend Mr A was there in the graveyard. He was the first person the same age to die (23). I moved away not long after he died but moved back here almost 4 years ago after almost 30 years away. I told Mrs..

1)My mum was a horder, I grew up in a house full of "stuff". I know why. At 16 her mum died and her dad very quickly remarried to a woman who didn't like her, she was kicked out the house with nothing. Other family members managed to buy back a tea set that was her mums from the pawnbrokers..

4)..a horder, I buy what I need, use it till it's falling apart and can no longer be used/fixed, then get rid of it and replace it needed. I don't like trinkets and things I'm pretty minimal. Today, a shoelace on my old boots broke, just last week I chucked a very old pair of worn out boots...

5)...in the bin, I went to check but the binmen came last Thursday, those old boots had shoelaces, i chucked out shoelaces last week and tomorrow I'm going to have to buy some new ones for a pair of old boots. I don't know, I think there a lesson here somewhere, but I'm not sure what it is...

2)..her step mother had sold all off her mum's stuff too. Eventually she got a little flat and built up her life eventually owning her own shop and flat but those early days if having nothing never left her. She wouldn't throw away anything if she thought at some stage she may use it. Growing up...

3)..I remember the tea set, but I also remember the boxes and boxes of stuff piled high. I remember rolls of sellotape, she would buy them thinking they will come in handy at Christmas but by the time Christmas came, the rolls would be buried under other things so she would buy more. I am not a...

1)Seeing the police asked people not to speculate regarding Ann's murder but nethertheless farage and the reformers (shit band name) socials are full of speculation. So.. who had a motive? Who needed a distraction? Who needed to justify his need for security? Who's getting more desperate by the...

You with the white car that scrapped up against a parked blue mg4 in Bridport today and drove off. You, are a cunt, and I hope karma brings the rewards cunts like you deserve.

My son (24) left our house at 4am yesterday to walk along the south west coast path (UK) to our previous home town, 42 miles away. I didn't think he would make it, it's a hard section of path with many big hills and cliffs, but he did, we picked him up at the seafront as it turned dark. Epic walk:-)

Growing up I was 1 of 6 cousins all around the same age given or take a few years. 1, Pete was the family idiot which was saying something as Simon was a feckin moron. Pete moved to America. Today he's on his way to the 250 event proudly wearing his USA shirt and red cap. You can't change stupid.

I love Freecycle, it's a shame it's not as popular as it maybe once was but yesterday my lawnmower finally gave up, it's been constantly repaired but it's beyond my skills to fix the dead motor now. Thought I'd make a post on Freecycle before buying a new one, and this morning I got a reply:-)

Kin hell, 8:15 and I've just been out and watered the pots and it's still boiling out there. This shit ain't normal, absolutely bonkers people would still bury their head in the sand and pretend we not in serious shit and have majorly fecked up the planet.

It's mighty hot out there today, great day for a family bicycle ride out into the countryside. Beautiful Dorset countryside. Will be winter before you know it, make the most of these sunny days:-)

Bought a new solar pump for a little pond I built for Mrs fredson's birthday a couple years ago. Was delivered Friday in a feckin huge box. Set it up today, solar panel looks like the kind you see on top of caravans, its making the bellagio fountain look modest. #overpoweredpondpumps

1)Just incase my little conspiracy comes true, I'll make a note of it here. Later today Elmo will sell off a small bit of space x. Just over 4%. He's doing this to give a "real" value to the rest of his shares so he can then leverage them against his next big purchase. I expect him to be...

For a period of a couple of years during the 2010s I was employed regularly by cattle to shoot the covers for the albums they had recorded. It was always wonderfully inspiring to witness the love, hard work and passion they had put into their music and I think that comes through in the photos.

Visited my elderly aunt in hospital today. Called my uncle to say I was visiting, he said her memory had got even worse and she wouldn't remember me. Found her ward and she was asleep, held her hand and she woke up not knowing where she was but she called me by my name.
