Hollywood lost its color. The Toons didn’t. 🐰 For the past few years, I’ve been reimagining Who Framed Roger Rabbit as film noir: the live-action world in B&W, with every Toon rotoscoped to remain in color. Here’s the trailer for my “Still Got It Edition.” #WhoFramedRogerRabbit

The original movie is perfect as-is—this is simply a new way of experiencing it, inspired by the noir classics it pays homage to. If you’d like to see the finished project, repost and follow for updates! Cinematic trailer by YouTube’s @Forensicator8.

Trying out #BotW in VR. It's clunky but there's nothing quite like being fully immersed in Hyrule. Exciting to see how they update it. #Zelda #BreathOfTheWild #Nintendo #videogames #wiiu

5. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Zelda is my favorite series. How could I not love the cartoony love art style and the sailing is very zen. One of the best. The remaster improves on an already amazing game.

6. Super Mario Galaxy 2 Galaxy used to be my favorite Mario game until I finally played 2 recently. Incredible level design. Still a little bummed it doesn't have an observatory-esque hub world but I guess starship Mario will have to do. Star 242 is one of the hardest things I've ever done lol

3. Super Mario RPG I had never played an RPG before so this game truly blew my mind. Loved the story and characters. Still my favorite version of Bowser. Staying at a hotel so long you go in debt and have to work as a bell hop to pay it off is an all timer gaming memory.

4. Banjo-Kazooie Like if Super Mario 64 had a sequel. Solidifying Grant Kirkhope as one of my favorite game composers. Love Rare's style and sense of humor.

2. Beetlejuice (NES) It was too difficult for young me to get anywhere but I loved the music and the weird ways it tried to adapt the movie, and playing as the ghost with the most.

#Spielberg #3 - #Jaws And just like that, he's a master of monster #movies. Shouldn't be a surprise since he made a monster movie about a truck. I got to see this in theaters for the first time in 3d & it was amazing since his shots already have so much depth. The characters are so well done.

I love how the mechanical shark not working made this #film even better. Seeing Bruce less makes him way more scary. Scheider & Dreyfus are excellent but Robert Shaw is transcendent, especially in the monologue about where his shark blood lust came from.

You can tell Spielberg is a #horror director at heart. So many of his movies have such haunting imagery. I'm sure I'm not saying anything new about Jaws, there's a reason it's a classic. 10/10 would recommend. Ranking: Jaws Duel Sugarland Express #universal

The score is a lot more playful than expected, at times a jaunty sea adventure. Aside from the iconic theme that turns it into a horror movie. The mayor wanting to keep the economy going during a tragedy hits different after COVID. It's wild that he just explodes a child for one of the first kills.

Who's ready for The Game Announcements. No that's not right. The Game Trailers. *Checks notes* Oh it's called The Game Awards? That doesn't sound right. The awards always seem so tacked on... Alright alright. Who's ready for The Game...Awards? #VideoGames #TGA #TheGameAwards

#TombRaider cover art leaked. Potentially a remake of the first one, which tbh is my favorite. Call me part of the problem but I would love another remake. 😂 I want a new game of course, but I know we're getting that. #VideoGames #Action #Adventure

I'm excited to see where #LaraCroft goes from here. I'm still bummed #HaileyAtwell won't be playing her in live action, she killed it in the animated series. She's my dream casting. We'll see how Sophie Turner does.

#Spielberg #2 - Sugarland Express A #film about a couple who escapes prison and kidnaps a cop so he'll drive them to "save" their baby from foster care. Starring Walter "dickless" Peck before he realized he should always play assholes. Spielberg sure knows how to film a car chase. #movies

FreiGuy
@freiguy.bsky.social

His first collab with #JohnWilliams. A great score as usual. It's a low drama character based hang out movie for 80% of it. They're friendly with the cop after the initial kidnapping. Honestly, You can see the trajectory, Duel + Sugarland = #Jaws.

It's amusing to me that one of his first films was a #GoldieHawn movie. She would've made a much better Willie Scott in Temple of Doom, imo. Threading that needle of obnoxious and endearing perfectly. Ranking: Duel Sugarland Express #director #marsthon

#1 - Duel A #TV movie. A #thriller about a crazy truck driver. A real testament to #Spielberg as a #visual story teller. Especially at just 23 years old. He really makes you feel the paranoia of the protagonist, expecting the truck to be just out of frame in every shot. (1/2) #Art #Film #Movies

FreiGuy

There's almost no dialogue, outside of what the studio made him add. He came out swinging, fully formed as a story teller and #action film maker. Started with something a lot of #directors would need to grow into. Excellent #film. Highly recommend. #storytelling #art #movies #visual

#Metroid Prime 4 is basically Ocarina of Time in space and I'm loving it for that. Also one of the best looking #Nintendo games yet and it's a Switch 1 game. Can't wait to see how they push the Switch 2 in the future. 120 fps plays like a dream. #Retro #VideoGames

I haven't been on blue sky in a long time cause I was too busy doom scrolling, but it still seems so cozy here. Still hasn't been ruined? When I look at social media now a days all I see is rage bate, hate, and bigotry and it kills me. I just wanna see art and funny video reels.

I don't really care about the discourse around price. I got a #Switch 2 and I'm loving it. It feels like the promise of the switch fulfilled. Nintendo games in real HD with no slow down. A sturdy, premium feeling device. Launch night at GameStop felt like a throw back to better times. #Nintendo

I'm gonna try browsing and posting more on blue sky cause Facebook just makes me depressed about humanity. I'm just not very good at it. How do I find my tribe?
