i swear gen z is about one think piece away from rebranding “don’t ask don’t tell” culture in the name of “defending their faves”…. is it really so insulting to have queer speculations?

“Don’t book me. I’ll play for free outside. [Sheeran] missed a massive, beautiful opportunity there: Just cancel the whole f–king tour, then play for free outside each venue, raise a bunch of money, rather than let a f–king billionaire tell you what to do … Stand the f–k up.”

just want to emphasise *this point* and *lesbians*🧚

totally understand what you’re saying and that could 100% be her journey, i am just cognizant of the current lesbian erasure happening in pop culture and want to be sure the community recognises the clear difference between lesbianism and bisexuality

My hot take is i don’t think taylor identifies as bi or pan because so many easter eggs are tied directly to lesbian history ME! out on lesbian day of visibility, the lesbian salute, and so many other examples….

I find it interesting that the "20 years of Taylor Swift" isn't on the main page of her site. You'd think it'd be right there, not under "Archive." Unless she's archiving Taylor Swift™️.

Now that Taylor has performed TFOA at the Academy Museum, let’s revisit Indigo Girls’ Swamp Ophelia (1994) released 31 years before TLOAS. Emily and Amy are and were 2 openly lesbian musicians, steeped in queer feminist history. The album contains striking parallels to Taylor’s visual mythology. 🧵🌈

U.S. friends, please remember to vote! If you need help figuring out where to vote or what the issues in your area are, I will personally help you figure it out if you send me a DM. Voting is SO important, always, but especially right now, as we need a wide enough margin that it can't be disputed.

annndddd i will be there

Just going to be straight here — no pun intended: I am the only journalist who has been covering this issue in depth, was often the only journalist at hearings, and was the only one explaining what DOJ was actually arguing here. Support my work if you can: www.lawdork.com/subscribe

BREAKING: SCOTUS rejects Trump admin's request to allow it to end gender-affirming medical care in prisons — a significant, if tentative, rejection of one of the admin's most extreme anti-trans arguments. Only Thomas and Alito noted they would have granted the stay. More to come: www.lawdork.com

I'm not sure how much more blatant it can get that these guys are looting the federal government and then pointing over there and saying "look what THOSE BLACK PEOPLE ARE GETTING AWAY WITH!!!" bsky.app/profile/atru...

Stephen Miller claims Somali-Americans in Minnesota are "buying Mercedes, buying BMWs, they buy a nice house, all their kids fly first class all over the world" (This is a lie!)

after a therapy appointment and venting (v important) my main issue with the “like” boils down to, “if he’s okay supporting that being said about cis women what does he say about queer or trans women in private” which is not just related to TK but the situation was a breaking point for me at least

personally i think we need to let people be upset by the actions of celebrities because celebrities help shape our culture, which shapes our politics. telling people to “touch grass” or to click away is not helpful to community - which is the best way to combat the current culture (IMO!)

some people need to remember it’s a privilege to be able to disengage from media or whatever is upsetting you. Whether it’s your job, who you are/what you identify as, or where you live, there’s a lot of factors that influence your ability to step away from whatever is upsetting you.
