I think that Dolly Parton was, for a lot of people, an ambassador of the "good" values people think of about the South: kindness, hospitality, can-do spirit, sharp and witty and down to earth. I think for a segment of people, too, she was theantithesis of a lot of noxious masculine country stuff.

i understand the city is basically One Long Line but the fact that seattles transit is also basically One Big Line is just so funny, like it’s got a few branches but it rlly is just one huge continuous track, which is kinda awesome but I can’t imagine the delays if something goes awry at any stop
