Anyone else notice a distinct change in Duolingo lately? They're telling me I've seen things I haven't and "introducing" words I already know. And I've lost access to past lessons. The bots are crazy.

I'm quick on the browser back button when I see ads or pop-ups. I know, websites gotta make money. Two reasons I don't subscribe. One, I don't want just one sub. Two, I'm already paying my ISP. You need to pay money to, pay money? I'd take one sub for X amount of assorted paywall articles.

Find a shred of fact or promise in Geico's famous tagline: "You could save up to 15% or more with.." Could? Up to? Wow! Or more, even! The disqualifying word in the whole ad is "could." There is no hard number to latch onto. No real figure. Just a vague "could." If they charged more, there's no lie.

Advertising is busy ruining the Internet, just like it did radio and TV. I'd pay for more subscriptions if I wasn't already paying the ISP. Even then what's a sub get me, one paper/zine/blog? We need a universal sub good for x amount of paywalls per month.

When you try to pick the correct word from the three on your top bar and you touch something on the keypad instead, leaving the horribly inappropriate wrong word, noticing only after you hit send...

Billionaires convincing the general population that *they* need tax breaks is a prime example of pulling the wool over someone's eyes, only it happened to a whole damned country.

Living in a typical American suburb, I can testify that if this were anything other than an economic-squeezed Trump nightmare, the 250 anniversary fireworks would still be going off every night unabated.

Has anyone ever beaned a batter for a second challenge in an inning where the challenger is losing by four runs in the ninth? Of course, we *are* talking about the Reds' bullpen. They neither throw beanballs nor strikes.

If you subscribed to every paywall site you encountered, sub costs would easily outpace the monthly charge for the ISP itself. Often it's a site I've only encountered just one time. Others are repeats, but not one I'd feel worth paying a sub. Not that much of a news junkie. How do we fix this?

Can you imagine being the family of Mitch McConnell, not being able to have a funeral for your dead relative because the powers that be need your Senate seat "occupied" until the midterms?

Bought Nature Valley Oats & Honey in 16 oz bags for years. They started selling 24 oz bags. Now there is a 17 oz bag, and the flavor is wrong. "Now more delicious!" They now taste like generic store brands.

We're in an interesting, albeit terrifying experiment. On the one hand, we have the ability to spot state-sponsored bullshit like never before. On the other hand, we have the gullibility of followers of said state.

The crowd who screeches into the void about the deep state sure is quiet about being force-fed undisclosed propaganda from a DOD influencer program.

The absolute earthquake, the sudden human paralysis, the total grief at the passing of a country singer who became a living saint, should grab the attention of anyone who's in charge of actual canonization. Leo, you're the first American Pope. Make it so.

Intersection not clear. Light green. KIA behind me NOT happy I'm not moving. Incessant horn, despite "do not block intersection" sign. Traffic ahead goes, we reach same cars we would have if we ignored the sign. Common sense: nonexistent. I'd be angry too, if my engine blew up every 15th payment.

I'm 69, and consider myself somewhat tech-savvy. The roommate is a year older and anything but. I never watch TV. He watches all day every day. Recently got a Roku stick to stream the local MLB team. Signed up for a YouTube TV free trial. Never figured out how to use it. Cancelled the trial today.

I want to cut the cable cord. If I can't figure out how to use the Roku remote, much less YouTube TV, there is no hope for the roomie. Cable sucks so bad, but it's the only thing we know. I don't wanna throw this in his lap, since he's on SS. We've always split the bills even. Why is tech so hard?

The TV is old, thus the Roku stick. I decided 30+ yrs ago to keep up with tech, and I find that it's running away from me faster than I can keep up. I wonder sometimes how this world would act if there was even another Carrington Event?

Why does Bluetooth forget? Would a wired connection do that to you? Whenever you've connected to something else and come back, it's like Velma losing her glasses. "I just know that connection is around here somewhere. Now, where did it go?"

Hakeem Schumer and Chuck Jeffries would rather Democrats lose to Trump forever than lose their control over the Democratic party. They work only for their billionaire donors. They both must be fired and replaced.

It amazes me how self centered drivers can be. 15 cars stacked up at a dark traffic light, which had become a stop sign. I held back to not block the intersection of a side street and per the hand gestures of the driver behind you'd think I'd shot her dog. Of course, she blocked it once I had room.

It's long past time for an improvement to Blue-in-the-tooth. Every time I connect to a new device and back to a previous, the previous one is like Velma looking for her glasses. "It must be around here somewhere."
