The economy is soo bad. I'm working full time but struggling since DOGE days. Now the roof is falling in, no resources to fix it. I'm a missed paycheck away from collapse. I've never felt this dark. Why is it like this for SO MANY people? It can't be all Trump, right? That gives him too much credit.

How is it possible that the TX senate race costs three hundred million dollars meanwhile I am emplyed but literally still can't afford healthcare or medicine. And millions can't even afford food. It's all so backward.

One last time.

Selling original artwork, I don't want to but I just need to raise money to keep this job. I will put a couple more in the comments. Thank you.

New job is requiring a lot of travel. I will get mileage but in a month. But I have to go to lunch meetings frequently. I can't hear if I can't see your lips. I am feeling so lost. What do other HoH people do? You can't ask for captions at a luncheon!

Bluesky keeps saying I live in Texas and it needs a credit card to verify my age or I can't use my account. I have not been to Texas in years and years and I have no VPN. If I wait an hour or so it usually stops. What is even happening?

Cosmos Goldfish. I made this out of pressed flowers. Sometimes I think about Kahlo or Van Gogh struggling with their illnesses and injuries and limitations and having time to do nothing but make art. I get it.

Can somebody help me? I am hard of hearing and the ADA phone number is a misprint, it goes to child abuse. The 877 number either has no answer or I cannot hear the person because they will not allow me to explain that I am hearing impaired. I have been trying to get insurance for weeks. Im so sick

I need a written way to contact my worker, he only has a phone number but it always goes to voicemail and it's difficult for me to hear. I'm trying so hard and I've been out of medicine for a long time now trying to navigate this system.

How do you get started using TTY on your cell phone? I'm losing my hearing and when I Google it I just see numbers to call which obviously I can't do... #deaf #hardofhearig #disability #tty

I hover close to dying because there are just so few resources. Can't afford my meds. Medicaid stalled. 2-3 month wait timem And my disability while debilitating and severely limiting is not even "that bad." I can still walk somewhat, feed myself, etc. This world is just so messed up.

This is how people fall through the cracks and die. No charity programs, no patient assistance available. Can't get round 2 if the first bill isn't paid. It's literally a lot cheaper to die.

Transmission went out. Lost job. Got second job offer the same day as a $4100 repair estimate. I am so screwed. I'm so tired of this. Not going to hurt myself, but I am just so tired and hungry and exhausted and I feel like I could just collapse mentally. Life should not be so hard.

Starting a new job later this week. Tons of red flags. Less than I've earned in 20 years, no health ins for first 60 days, pray that I hold it together. I have a sinus infection and two ear infections right now, during what will be my first week. But I got the job and I'll go even if I'm dead!

Plus my car needs two coils, whatever the hell those are. If I understand right my first payday will be in 4 weeks because it's a pay period behind and I'm starting in the middle of one. God I'm so nervous but it's been such an awful year since all the doge stuff started the downward spiral.

Are there any cheap home remedies for ear/sinus infections that actually work? AI said things like neti pot but my rheumatologist before I lost insurance told me not to use those where I'm immune suppressed. I'm 45 minutes from a hospital and hospitals are incredibly dangerous for me anyway.

This is the SECOND job offer that ended up not going through because of moves the federal government has made. I did all the background checks, turned in my info, etc. How are people coping and living and staying alive in this job market? I'm ever so barely hanging on.

The most depressing poem I've ever read, but it's also incredibly beautiful in the way it describes sharing joy with others but cradling our torments alone. "Solitude," by Ella Wheeler Wilcox.

Anyone know of a #disability agency you can ask re: finding W2 remote work when state agencies like P&A, Voc Rehab have massive waiting lists or can't help? I need a case manager who can help find a remote job. I'm immune suppressed, HoH, and pretty much destitute. I need some kind of help!

It's becoming real that I'm losing health insurance tomorrow, 6/30. I'm scared and anxious. Some of my meds stay in my system for days, others for weeks. I'm eventually going to end up in the hospital. I can start the Medicaid process the day after COBRA ends, but it's going to take weeks. The (1/3)

physical effects of untreated autoimmune diseases are honestly the worst. This past year jobless has taught me a lot about dealing with the emotional effects, but when you're not able to walk or eat or hear right, those are hard limitations. I need coverage to prevent and manage those. I'm (2/3)

still applying for jobs but the market is awful even if you're able-bodied. I appreciate everyone's help. It's been a year and it's still so hard. I am just profoundly exhausted. I've turned everywhere. COBRA should never be $1500 in a civilized country. It's literally my health. I'm tired. (3/3)

I want to say thank you to people who sent money for food. It will last at least a couple months and I'm also paying my phone bill. I can send receipts to anybody who wants it. I have a masters and this is the longest I've ever been out of work. I know eventually I'll find a job that's OK with 1/2

2/2 my immune suppression. It's just a terrible job market, I'm very rural, and I've used all my savings this past year so I don't really have tons of resources to access. I really appreciate the kindness strangers. It's humbling but also gives me faith in real people. Thank you.

Something I've learned about hunger. You can go weeks not getting enough to eat yet each day it doesn't get better. You never get used to it. Every day your body says, "I need more to eat" and expects that, but your brain says, "Be grateful for what you do have." It makes you empathize so strongly.

How long do credit cards take to come after you once you can't pay them? I've been out of work 11 months and done EVERYTHING I can, but I have nothing left. I don't know how it works. I feel such guilt and anxiety not being able to pay them or my COBRA premium now. It's all so heavy and depressing.

Is there a service like 988 for people who can't hear well enough to talk on a phone anymore? I began losing my hearing as an adult so I didn't learn TTY. I'm not suicidal, just soo overwhelmed mentally/spiritually/financially/physically. I feel so alone and tired lately. But I can't hear right.

I got all three molars extracted. They said that the fact I'm immune suppressed and my jaw had become so infected is also what was causing my lymph nodes to go crazy for all those months. I'm just so glad to finally get them taken out. It really does screw your entire life when you're 1/2

2/2 infected and the healthcare system is almost impossible to navigate and you have so little money. It really makes me hurt for people who just fall through the cracks all the time because I know that happens every single day. People die from infected jaw bones.

I have saved for months for dental surgery this week. But I didn't predict gas would be so high and I need to fill up once there bc the low cost clinic is 2hrs away. Can anybody cashapp me $40-50? $Frogontheporch I will send receipts or pics. I want rid of this infection so bad. Check my posts, /1

I've been dealing with this for months. I had complications including tongue nerve issues from being immune suppressed. The infection has been brutal. I had a job interview Tuesday and I'm hopeful about it. But in the meantime I feel so vulnerable and want to be able to eat and speak normally. /2

Thank you to anyone, I'm just worried that if I don't have the full amount I need because I needed to get gas they will turn me away and I can't wait several more months. I'm so tired of this system. I have saved the $784 fee while jobless and sick for god's sake. I'm really trying. /3

I've waited since November 2025 to see a dentist and now it's almost $800 that I don't have. And this is considered the low cost "affordable" option without anesthesia. I'm so over being a human with a body. Why is life and health so inaccessible?

I cannot hear well enough to use a phone lately. I've tried to cancel my Optimum internet service and I can't hear it. I tried to do it online and they keep saying there is only one way, by phone. I have no one who can do it for me that I trust with my acct/$ info. What do I even do.

I get accused of screaming and I literally don't know it. I have hearing loss. I don't have a way to know if I'm too loud. It's really hurtful and I try not to but I literally can't tell especially in noisy situations. How do other people even navigate this?
