The Frontend Marketer

Sometimes I miss the feeling of getting my code to work after spending hours researching, checking Stack Overflow, and watching YouTube tutorials. That feeling of success! Then again I get hours back in my day with AIs help. 🤔

My GitHub beginner tip: always ________. Fill in the blank. 💡 We've put all of our GitHub for Beginners guides into one roadmap for anyone still filling in that blank. Bookmark this, or share with a friend who's just getting started 👇

New blog, set up dev environment to start contributing to GitLab again, and set up a Google Cloud account for a BigQuery project. Today was a good day.

Starting the week off by reflecting on my recent accomplishments. ✅️ Made a super quick Pokémon game for fun ✅️ Started a love/hate relationship with After Effects ✅️ Finished another blog ✅️ Went on vacation

Social Media Tool 🔧 I wanted a solution that helps me stay up to date with the latest social features and news that comes out each week. I wanted to build something from scratch because thats the fun part! If you're interested in learning more, check out my blog thefrontendmarketer.com.

I just skimmed but I thought it was interesting how the bottleneck isn't generating code it's reviewing it. thenewstack.io/gitlab-ai-co...

Developing a new social media tool for fun. Nothing big but I'm having fun with this side project. Hoping to be able to share this week! #developer #socialmedia #marketing

I created some art this morning! Over the last 10 years I've been so focused on building my technical chops that I feel like I lost touch with my creative side. To be clear, Im not a designer but I had fun with this. New article about automating with scripts on my blog site I made with Astro.

Using ChatGPT to give me mock data so I can go through and clean it up with pandas. Happy to say I'm continuing to make progress.

After a weekend of working through neovim and pandas I'm feeling pretty good. A very long way to go but I feel like I accomplished a lot.

Anyone else using @catppuccin.com theme? I like that the colors aren't as bright as my other theme and a little easier to look at first thing in the morning. 💻

Seems like a good morning to start learning @neovim.io.

Hi friends! I'm Mike and I'm a marketer who loves learning about web development. I recently started a blog at thefrontendmarketer.com which I built with Astro. It's not much right now but I'm slowly working on it. I love building websites, learning new skills, and posting about it here.

As a marketer, knowing a little HTML can go a long way. Learning the basics has been a game-changer for troubleshooting website issues, email development, and communicating more effectively with developers. #marketing #html

Boost your marketing with JavaScript! This powerful skill can improve your tracking, optimizations, and help you communicate better with your developer team. One of the best ways to get started, IMO, is with freecodecamp.org. Did I mention it's free! @freecodecamp.bsky.social

Spring is the perfect time for new beginnings! I thought it would be fun to build a blog site with Astro and use it to start writing more. What are you currently building?
