I've been playing with the Steam Frame a bunch since I got back and I quite like the headset so far. It feels like the "PC" of standalone VR to the walled gardens of other standalone headsets - you can just run apps on it! The LCD display is only thing preventing it from being my daily driver.

I finally got around to finishing this up last night before the deadline. I made this for a Halloween competition in Resonite. Happy Spooky Month!

My Windows install has gotten way too unstable. I probably need to do a clean one, but I kind of just want to switch to Linux. I keep playing with it with dual booting, but I keep running into more blockers. I can't find an equivalent replacement for the RAW image denoise Adobe Lightroom has.

I feel so at the end of the rope dealing with all this. When I started this project, I was full of excitement and passion for building cool things. All the drama and struggles over the years sucked all that out, to the point where I dread working on this. I don't know how to continue anymore.

I'm so fucking tired of all this AI crap, but more so from people around it. I try to push my own opinions aside, listen to both sides, try to figure out a compromise. Just to be met with anger from both sides, over something that other companies made and willingness to hurt or kill the project.

I'm really not looking forward back to work after the con.

This, but it applies to nearly everything. If you wait for everything to be ideal or perfect, you'll never get anything done. And just because something isn't perfect, doesn't mean it's not good.

I've had extremely rough couple of days. It's felt like everyone is against me, even some people I normally looked for support and stability. Today has been in particular very bad. Then @glitchfur.net took me out for ice cream. He's best boyfriend I could've wished for 💛

One of the most frazzling things to me is when people expect you to achieve goals that are near impossible, either explicitly or implicitly. It's like being setup for failure and then judged for failing - from the beginning I know it's impossible to avoid, yet I'll still try.
