King DuPree is on a journey to freedom, liberation, and living the life he put on hold for over twenty years to raise his family. I hope the new ‘A Different World’ inspires Black students to aspire to HBCUs (or college in general) like ‘A Different World’ did for Black students in the 80s & 90s. Having seen the Joyce Carol Oates very bad, not good tweet about romance and AI, I can't help thinking about the way that romance has been treated as a punching bag for so long and always by people who are completely unwilling to engage with the genre and know little about it.
