Has it occurred to anyone else that Trump could be attempting to sell out Ukraine in order to have Putin do a deal with Iran to get Trump out of the mess he's created in the Middle East? There must be a motive for his latest betrayal.

So...Putin claims that the Russian economy can cope with its deficit running at 2.8% of GDP, because "Russia has one of the lowest national debts of any country in the world." Great, but...if other nations won't loan you money (none will), crank up the inflationary digital printing presses.

The Russian economy has deeper problems. It has hyper low productivity - due to its war of choice. The war economy is consuming all the funds that might be used for to maintain deteriorating infrastructure. Roads, rail, utilities all need upkeep. War sucks the life out of an economy. Putin is wrong

Ukraine needs to strike at the heart of the Russian economy in order to end this war. Hence, aside from being military suppliers, Wildberries, Ozon, & other warehouse operators are prime targets. VTB is a key financial backer of them. WB reportedly owes VTB ~$7 B; Ozon ~$3.8 B => $10.8 B.

How strong is VTB? ~5.29 B shares outstanding; it's trading at 51.445 RUB => market cap of ~270 B RUB. @ 85 RUB = $1, that gives a USD valuation of ~$3.2 B. Its stock price has ~halved in the past 12 months. When WB & Ozon go under, VTB will have to bring their unpaid loans to account.

‼️THIS IS NOT ABOUT DEFENCE MINISTER FEDOROV. People didn’t pour into the streets this week for one man. They came out for their own future. For how power actually gets used in this country. For a sane personnel policy. Against corruption.

Zelensky reports that a Russian ammunition store containing 60,000 tons of munitions was destroyed by Ukraine in St Petersburg. Plus, further strikes on radio electronics and other military components. Also, hacked Russian assessments of damage from recent Ukrainian deep strikes.

UAF achieved a new daily record (626) for Russian vehicle destruction in the latest loss statistics, exceeding the previous high water mark by 20%. In fact the top 25 daily vehicle loss totals have all been since 30 April 2026. UAF dominates the Russian supply lines in the occupied territories.

They've blown the lid off the mafia in Moscow...literally! In the latest drone strike on Russia'war funding oil infrastructure a tank blew up and launched its lid high into the sky. A truly spectacular sight! A sight highlighting Moscow's vulnerability under the criminal Putin regime.

Meanwhile in Russia, State Duma seeks to ban the putting up of "For sale" "Closing" "For Rent" "Liquidation" & similar signs. It could be spread widespread fear about "alleged" problems with the economy, an attack against the government, or an attempt to spread panic. Go broke, then get charged.

Taken from the Wikipedia entry for the Crimean War 1953-1856: Russia was militarily weak, technologically backward and administratively incompetent. Despite its grand ambitions toward the south, it had not built its railway network in that direction, and its communications were poor. ...

Its bureaucracy was riddled with graft, corruption and inefficiency and was unprepared for war. Its navy was weak and technologically backward. Its army, although very large, suffered from colonels who pocketed their men's pay, from poor morale, and from a technological deficit relative to ...

Britain and France. By the war's end, the profound weaknesses of the Russian armed forces had become readily apparent, and the Russian leadership was determined to reform it. /endquote Russian capability hasn't progressed. Unfortunately it has not evolved emotionally either. It's still a cesspit.

Let's see if I understand this. Russia invaded Ukraine, with war crimes at scale. USA under Biden gave a mixed response; Europe slowly assisted. Trump took the view "This is not our war; it's Europe's war. They can pay for our help/weapons; we'll deal direct with Russia". Trump praises Putin;

Did I get that right? War in Europe waged by the principal enemy of NATO, "Not the US's war...America First!" War in the Middle East, waged by the US and Israel gets bogged down when Iranian terrorist do terror strikes. US calls for European help. "Not our war!" they say. "America First"

puts tariffs and insults all the Europeans and other allies, and tries desperately to do "deals"with Putin - to benefit himself and his friends. Israel commits war crimes in Gaza. HAMAS deserves what they get; civilians don't. The USA joins Israel's war on Iran. Europe is fed up with sending men

to die in US wars. Europeans choose to stay out of the Middle East conflict. Especially one that has been so poorly thought through (just like the last ones were) Because "America First!" Apart from Ukraine, which allows some of its specialist drone defense experts, along with supplies. Hmmm...

Pokrovsk is in eastern Ukraine. Before Russia invaded in 2014, it was a city of 60,000 people. Since 24 Feb 2022, Russian forces have inched across toward Pokrovsk, destroyed it, yet it holds. 250,000 Russians have perished in the attempt so far, but Putin thinks he's winning. Go figure.

Tomorrow marks the last day of the 4th year of Putin's failing full scale invasion of Ukraine - not counting the 8 years of occupying Crimea and eastern Ukraine before that. It will be day 1461 of Putin's 3 day "SMO". It has cost Russia its future, bled the country dry, and can only get worse now.

Tomorrow marks day 400 of the second Trump presidency. Put another way, it marks 400 days without coming within a galaxy width of "stopping the fighting in Ukraine". 400% over budget, and failing.

You are up to date.
