In honor of what would have been Bear’s 13th Gotcha Day, here are a couple of pics of him and his brother Porkchop before and during their road trip to MA from TN; they were taken a few days he came home with us. They’re making me smile. And cry. (But mostly smile.) Good boy, Bear. We miss you. 🖤🤍🖤

Husband is now parading around the house in some shorts like a ho (complimentary) while I’m couchbound and useless. It might be the delirium talking, but this could be punishment for watching an ironing tutorial starring Josh Segarra (called “Scream VI” for some reason?).

On movie # 2 for the day and I’m suddenly feeling much better.

Took a quick trip to urgent care this morning. Was it anything serious? No. Am I going to use this an excuse to do fuck all today? Absolutely. I’ll be hiding under a blanket if anyone needs me.

Happy birthday to this album! I wore this cassette the fuck out many, many moons ago. Now playing:

This “correction” was sent to me in an email this morning. I have a feeling this is indicative of how today is going to go. BRB - going to go scream into a pillow for a while.

My Marvel Legends Cypher figure arrived the other day and my nephews “helped” me open the package. He is the X-Man they’ve both now imprinted on and they keep demanding to see him. Thanks to Pam Poovey, this is absolutely hilarious to me.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Cypher. I just didn’t think “language guy” would do it for a couple of 3 year old perpetual motion machines when the guy with knives for hands is right there.

I temporarily reactivated my Facebook account so I could download old travel and archaeology photos and came across this one. I’m now questioning if this was worth the effort 🤣

Now playing. “I need a chance, a second chance, a third chance, a fourth chance A word, a signal, a nod, a little breath Just to fool myself, to catch myself To make it real, real” On repeat please. Or, to stick with the theme, “all the time, oh” ❤️

My superhero husband, @dgquovadimus.bsky.social, is on his 14th (!!) walk to help raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. 3 days, 50 miles, 1 step closer to a cure. I am SO goddamned proud of him and the incredible work he does for this cause. ❤️ (Now pitter patter, husbando!)

This Friday I’ll join 200+ others in a 3-day 50-mile walk to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. It’s my 14th year taking part. If you’re in a place where you can donate, I’d love your support. Here’s the link and thanks in advance: events.nationalmssociety.org/participants...

Over the weekend, some Angell staffers traded in their gloves for thimbles at a very special Teddy Bear Clinic! Local kiddos brought in their beloved stuffies for TLC and some much-needed repairs. 1/

We had to say goodbye to Bear last weekend. Bear was happy, brave, and strong and he was the past part of every day. As he got older, life slowed down and his world got smaller; our world got smaller too but the three of us were together and that was ok. He was strong until he couldn’t be any more

his tail didn’t lie - he loved us right back. He was a goofball, an emotional terrorist when it came to snackos, a discerning judge of character, an unrepentant bed hog, a good listener, and a fierce protector. He is my best friend and I miss him so deeply it hurts to breathe.

He made our family complete for 13 amazing years. We’re unbelievably lucky to have had that much time together and are so, so grateful for it. It was perfect; it just wasn’t long enough. Good boy, Bear. Good boy. 🖤🤍

but he never stopped being brave. He was the best boy. @dgquovadimus.bsky.social and I love him and did our best to give him the best life possible; I think we did a good job. He was happy and healthy and surrounded by love. He wasn’t the most outwardly affectionate dog (I love that about him) but
